About
We are a family run farm park and we host alpaca walking and sheep activities. Why not come and walk alpacas with us in beautiful Devon? We have some cute Swiss Valais Blacknose Sheep - they look like teddy bears! When we have lambs you are welcome to help bottle feed! You don't need to book to visit the farm park but you need to book online for alpaca walking. The experience activity includes a safety demonstration, group walk and hand feeding other animals. We can provide refreshments for humans too! WE ARE OPEN WEEKENDS AND SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. Please visit our website for details.

- Curiosity236542889969 contributionsProper Devon hospitality !!The weather was not great but the the Alpacas the other animals and particularly the staff certainly were. We had the most entertaining day followed by a smashing cream tea. Two of the ladies even carried my wife on her electric buggy into the shop to make sure she missed nothing. Proper Devon hospitality all round . Brilliant!!Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 March 2024
- melissa bBarnstaple, United Kingdom303 contributionsAmazing tripVisited here with 2 adults and a teenager. We followed the directions on the email which got us there perfectly. We arrived and there was plenty of parking. From start to finish each and every member of staff were friendly, lovely, welcoming and kind. The lady welcoming us- excellent, the alpaca tour, both lovely and the cafe staff- really friendly. We paid £25 each for the alpaca guided tour which seems a lot, but it really wasn’t, for what u get, it’s amazing. U get up close and personal with your own alpaca which u feed carrots and guide around the farm. It was a magical experience and one I will never forget. The guides took lots of photos and were really knowledgable about the animals. After the tour was done we got to spend time feeding the goats, pigs, donkeys and alpacas. We bought some food in the cafe and souvenirs. Highly recommend- please visit.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 31 March 2024
- Linda F16 contributionsNice farm with lots of different animalsWe visited while on a girly weekend as something fun to do. Lots of animals to see, nicely laid out, a barn for more interactive activities & a nice shop with a little cafe & under-cover picnic area - nice hot chocolate! & of course as 4 grown women we had to do the tractor ride! A nice way to spend a couple of hours.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 30 April 2024

This is a lovely small animal park, with alpacas, goats and other animals.
It is easy to find, being just off the main road, with plenty of parking.
It cost just £4 each to get in, with bags of food at 50p, and £2.50 for a tractor ride.
The Alpaca walking needs to be booked in advance, and is £25 per person. For children under 16 it is £30 to walk with an adult.
We had lots of fun feeding the alpacas, goats, sheep and miniature ponies. Watch out for the goats as they like to eat the brown paper bag that the food is in :D and clothes, and anything else that gets near them.
There is a lovely little cafe, with a limited choice, but more than enough for a quick snack, and also all nice tasty things suitable for a family and very reasonably priced. There is also plenty of cake and coffee and ice cream.
Drinks are brought to you, and food is easily collected from a nearby counter when your bleeper goes off.
There are several spectator events/talks during the day, to meet various animals. We watched "Meet the Dogs" which was funny and informative.
The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The animals are also friendly and love to be fed.
I highly recommend this for a family day out, all ages. My teenager 15, loved it as did my mother.
We even brought an Alpaca home with us (from the gift shop as couldn't fit a real one in the garden).
We will return there next Spring after my daughters birthday so that she can walk an Alpaca on her own.

Two adults plus child, plus bag of food & tractor ride for 3 is £20 ( optional tractor ride £2.50 each)
The animals are very sociable so children can feed & touch them if they want to. Hand washing facilities are available & much needed as some animals are very licky.
The tractor ride is a loop of two empty paddocks, nothing to see. We trundled along, anticipating that we might see livestock in the fields but we didn’t, then the ride ended. The trailer takes 14 & has seat belts for children & a roof offers protection from sun & rain.
Little shop/tea room has an tasty variety of refreshments, cake, ice cream plus unusual alpaca gifts, like socks & soaps. There are benches outside for picnics. Once we’d walked round, the six year old had seen & fed the animals & his interest was on the wane. Our visit was less than an hour, this could have been extended if the six year old had been interested in any of the ‘hands on’ opportunities on offer like pony grooming. A member of staff said Wooley had opened in April so it’s early days. The staff were all friendly.
My thoughts are this must be a huge investment & this attraction is in its infancy, hindered by the last two years of lockdowns. The addition of a small play area near the cafe & benches might allow parents/grandparents to have a break while the children burn off some energy. If your children are keen on interacting with small animals or taking an alpaca for a walk it’s perfect.

We were met at the entrance by a bright cheerful and chatty young lady named Ellie
Such a happy welcome starts your visit off in the best way.
A very reasonably priced admission and 50p to feed the animals is very doable for those who want to throw themselves into it.
It's a lovely little animal farm, lots of petting and holding the smaller animals.
All the animals are very well handled and so not scary for smaller visitors.
There are dogs, alpacas, pigs, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ponies, donkeys, ducks, sheep and rheas(wingless birds, ostrich).
All are kept in very good pens, barns, fields and look very well and happy.
Its not over commercialised at all and we spent the best part of the day here and came back to the car for our picnic, there are facilties/tables to bring your picnic in or a food van and small wooden cafe selling fast food, cakes and souvenirs.
Every member of staff was welcoming, smiley and friendly, this can make or break your day in my opinion and l'm guessing the owners make this a priority.
Hand washing facilities were plentiful as was toilet roll and paper towels.
I really liked it here and would definitely come again and recommend it to anyone.
I didn't come away feeling ripped off,l came away feeling happy after having a lovely day making memories with my daughter and niece.

We brought our children aged 9, 7 and 4. We thought might spend an hour or two, but ended up spending the whole day! There were demonstrations & hands-on activities happening regularly throughout the day, and our children loved (several!) opportunities to handle guinea pigs and lambs, and stroke the dogs, ponies, goats and llamas. The animals were really friendly and seemed really well cared for. Everything was included in the extremely reasonable ticket price of £4 (apart from animal feed which was only 50p per bag, and tractor rides which we didn't do).
When lots of things are very expensive, we really appreciated the really reasonable price (especially as there were 5 of us). We ended up spending more in the cafe as a result.
A really enjoyable day - highly recommended, especially if you have kids that enjoy spending time with animals.

Amazing experience for adults and children walking with Alpacas and also getting to interact with sheep, lambs, goats, working dogs, miniature ponies, rabbits and guide pigs. You can visit Wolley Farm to either just see the animals or get involved in feeding, holding and learning about the animals. So if you are enthusiastic or a little nervous there is no pressure but a great way to enjoy the farm.
The Alpaca walk was mostly flat but muddy (February 22) along a guided track and through the woods. It was not exhausting and the group included some young children up to adults. The walk leader Julie was great answering all the questions and is accompanied by another lovely member of staff so if there were any issues you have help.
The farm is not just a visit it was an experience that included everyone. People could interact as much or a little as they wished at each animal experience. The animal experiences led by a very knowledgeable Stuart and the team, in the barn so the weather did not spoil it.
Plenty of hand washing facilities, enough room to spread out, toilets, cafe, free parking. Bring your wellington boots and camera for a great visit with a personal touch thanks to Cathy and Stewart. We will be back with our family soon.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening walk with the alpacas.
Stuart and Cathy were lovely welcoming hosts who told us lots of interesting facts about the alpacas before and during the walk. We were each supplied with a bag of carrots for the boys to munch on as they walked.
We were able pick our own alpaca to walk - each one was a little character in his own right!
The walk took us through their beautiful farmland and woods. The alpacas enjoyed rolling in the holly and munching foliage but behaved beautifully staying in their line making it easy to lead them along.
There was plenty of opportunity to take our own photos while interacting with the alpacas. Cathy also took lots of photos during the walk which were made available to us afterwards through their social media account on Facebook.
We returned to be given refreshments and also met some friendly female alpacas, goats and sheep. We learnt a lot about all the animals during the evening and have many photos to look back on. The experience was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday.
We were staying in one of the two cottages on the farm, which we also wholeheartedly recommend.

We were lucky enough to be staying in one of the Woolley Animals holiday cottages, and this meant we were able to get to see the wonderful Alpacas whenever we liked; feeding them, stroking them and enjoying getting to know them - each having their own individual personality. The highlight of our stay was walking with the Alpacas, and Rufus, Timmy, Jeff and Darty didn't disappoint. A really amazing and unforgettable experience, would highly recommend to anyone, and guarantee you'll fall in love with them. It's obvious that Stuart and Cathy have a special bond with the animals. They made us feel so welcome, we can easily see why people come from miles away to visit. We'll definitely be missing them all, and even though we are a long way away we're already making plans to come back.

I have never had such an incredible customer care service as what I have experienced at this lovely place. I firstly emailed Stuart and Kathy (the owners) to enquire if it was suitable for my autistic son, they replied quickly with a thoughtful email, stating that he would of course be welcome they also kindly gave me lots of information to prepare him for the day.
I then had an email a day before we went to inform us of the alpaca Oscar would be having so that he had a name, as extra preparation. I was so totally touched by the care and thought given, as this is so important to ensure my son has the best day possible.
The whole team are so friendly and helpful, from the greeting on the gate to the ladies in the cafe to the two lads who took us round on our alpaca walk....they were so encouraging to all 3 of my children and enthusiastic about the alpacas.
I couldn't recommend this place enough. Alot of care and love has clearly gone in and continues to go in to this gem in Devon ❤️
The cream teas were also delicious and the ladies in the cafe were very kind to my youngest Reuben who had coloured a picture to say thank you, they promptly put it up on the wall in the cafe....he was thrilled 😊
Thank you all for helping us and especially oscar make some wonderful holiday memories....he is still talking about Timmy and I'm sure will continue to for some time 💙
