I went to see the superb Eddie Reader in concert at Clonter with friends and we all had a fabulous evening. The intimacy of the theatre was the perfect setting to really appreciate the skill of Eddie and her musicians. We also enjoyed the flexibility of being able to bring our own picnic; the evening was a sellout but there... More

I have attended many and varied performances at Clonter from grand opera to folk music since it's conception in a farm shed sitting on bales of hay. It has come a long way fro that, there is wheelchair access and disabled toilet but book early to ensure the seat best suited to your needs. All levels of formality are catered... More

What a wonderful place to enjoy a fun evening with friends! The theatre its self is small and cosy but it adds to the atmosphere and you become completely engrossed in the act. I've seen the rat pack at much larger venues several times over the years but God this was the best. Fantastic acting and singing, music and dancing... More

Clonter Opera is an experience like no other. You have the enjoyment of a wonderful opera in a small theatre with a break for afternoon tea or dinner. Expensive but worth it.

My first time at Clonter Opera and oh my goodness what an amazing production. Stunning performance and MARLENA DEVOE, the New Zealand soprano's voice was like listening to bird song. It was a magical and intimate evening and one that gave the audience 100% satisfaction, for as I discovered one does not need to go to the ENO or Scottish... More

For an Opera in the country, the performance of 'La Traviata' was amazing. Quality performances, well run and the food was delicious with generous portions. A great night out.

I made the trip from London especially to experience Verdi's La Traviata, performed by this young and highly talented opera company. The quality of the singing was incredibly high and with the imaginative set and polished direction it was a night to remember. I was not sure about the two thirty minute intervals but as a concept it really worked... More

The Clonter theatre is set amongst the fields and trees in the heart of Cheshire, but is easy to find, signposting is good. It is not open air so whatever an English Summer throws at you it won't spoil the evening. The auditorium is compact and well designed with comfortable upholstered seating. The main seating area is priced variously, £35-65,... More

A family concert presented at Clonter Opera Theatre in March 2016 was a real delight.. The theatre provided the most wonderful tea afterwards which left a real wow factor. I had never heard of this theatre before this visit but I wanted to review it as I am certain visitors to the area would enjoy it. It is in a... More
