Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the most amazing venue with the most fantastic members of staff. From our initial enquiry to our amazing special day, nothing was too much trouble for the team at Alcumlow and they always went above and beyond to make our day a special one. We first walked through the make believe Fairytale Gates and we were just wowed by the how absolutely beautiful this hidden gem of a venue really is and in the words of many of our guests, it’s a venue that just keeps on giving. Beverley and Charlie were always on hand, even through the height of the Covid to answer any questions and put us at ease. Even with the uncertainty of what the restrictions would be, the team were amazing, flexible, friendly and professional at all times. The day was just perfect, the team really captured everything that we were looking for, a unique set of decorations and a bespoke menu made just for us. Carol and the team dressed our venue beautifully with all our weird and wonderfully quirky pieces, we can’t thank you enough. Todd and Jake were fantastic at hosting all of our guests and coordinated our wedding in a professional and assertive manner, making you feel in safe hands all day. All of the team always addressed the members of the wedding party by name in all situations, which said to us that this is a venue that really cares about its clients, and this really showed from start to finish. Genuinely and honestly from the bottom of our hearts we can’t thank Alcumlow and the whole team for hosting and making our wedding so stress free and effortless. You will be forever in our hearts and memories made for a lifetime.

We visited Little Harts Pottery Studio this afternoon, what a lovely place. I cannot speak highly enough of Suzanne and her daughter they made us feel so welcome, and made such a fuss of my daughter. It was worth every penny. The studio is set up with individual tables complete with paint, brushes, sponge and paint tile. We were able to choose from the stock an item to paint, all items are individually priced, and extremely good value too. We spent over an hour in the studio and we weren't rushed and felt very welcomed. We will be back very soon. In fact we've booked for my daughters 5th birthday party. Again the birthday packages are fantastic value. I recommend with 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Please do give it a try we are glad we did. You will not be disappointed!! Thank you Suzanne

If you want a China cup half filled with hot water and a Whittard Tea bag and a high price this is your place. No tea pot not even a mug. Needs to get real of the competition. This is not how you serve tea.

Whilst I absolutely love the Little Harts Pottery studio - we have been a few times now, I do feel that the £4.95pp for the use of the materials/glaze and a drink is a little overpriced. On top of that you need to choose an item to paint which range from around £4 upwards (the majority of items that are worth painting go from about £5.95). I think the pottery items themselves are a good price but if you take three children you're talking at least £30-40 for only a couple of hours; you can go for a full day out with that to some places. It's not too bad if you only have one little one to buy for. I would have come more regular whilst looking after my friend's children but it's just too costly overall. I do think it would be even more popular if their prices were slightly lower.

Well, this place is great. It was a long queue for ice cream but Snugburys is always worth the wait.
Defiantly will be visiting again.

Me and my 2 little boys attended yesterday. We booked last minute, and were late but the lovely lady who runs the pottery business side was just the nicest person. The pottery painting our boys loved. Plenty of selection for boys and girls. And snacks and drinks included. Also provide drinks for adults. Play area could do with more. Needs more for children to do I think. We went to glebe farm after to see the animals and play on their park for free around the corner.

Just been to our friends wedding , fantastic setting, really different and no detail was missed. The proprietors really make a great effort and the setting and organisation was superb. Facilities and food were as good as any hotel. Would recommend if asked.

I adore the ice cream parlour and I often visit here as a treat as they have such a wide variety of flavours. I love the location as its away from everywhere else and they have a vast area of grass which is nice to sit down and eat on. Various events are thrown here, when I went they had a hot air balloon.
However I didn't enjoy the shop next to the parlour as I thought most of the items were tat.
The main reason I visit is for the Icecream and the play area is good too!
