Great for walking and lovely for picnics with the children lots of activities for the children in the summer. If your feeling energetic you can run the mile round the lake but it's also great for pleasant walk.More

A lovely spot with a variety of activities ranging from waterborne to walking. We just walked around the mere and very nice it was too!

This country park on the edge of Congleton was a real find. The walk round the mere took about 45 mins. It was a flat well maintained path and we saw plenty of push chairs and mobility scooters meaning that it was easily accessible from...More

A very well maintained flooded lagoon, where sand was pumped out, offers various leisure activities, eg diving, sailing, fishing, walking, jogging restaurant etc, for all ages. Give it a visit!

Easy car parking with a mobile ice cream and coffee shop. There are a few outdoor tables to rest your legs. Lovely route for dog walking around the water. Easy circular route to follow. Fairly flat and suitable for families with bikes.

The car park gates are locked in the evening, in the summer this is at 8:00. The other gates are open.

The fishing rights at Astbury Mere are owned by the Stoke on Trent Angling Society and to fish at the Mere you must be a member. They can be found on line using google
