We had a fantastic day at Eden Camp even though it was a showery day but the fact the camp was in lots of huts meant that we didn't get wet. Lots to do and see and very interesting, not realising that there was a prisoner of war camp in this country. My dear old dad who is 90 really... More

Having been here many times growing up as a child I have to say this was one of my favourite days out. The collection they have here is outstanding. Through use of models, sound, smells, animatronics and visitor involvement it really does bring history to life. Each hut has a different topic with lots of history to learn. Even people... More

Loved it here, it is definately for the older children and anybody who is interested in war history. The camps are numbered and easy to follow. Loved the end one with the memorial and all the plaques on the wall. Quite emotional moment.

Really interesting and enjoyable. Very well themed. Educational and very informative. Allow at least two hours to go round properly. Good value for money.

I am so glad we took time out of christmas shopping to visit Eden camp. What an internist place, it kept us entertained for almost 2 hours, The different huts told a different story, and with older kids who get bored they also enjoyed it.

On Wednesday 9th November 2016, the Year 5 children from our school went to Eden Camp in Malton (North Yorkshire). We went to Eden Camp because our topic was World War 2 and we wanted to learn more about it. The museum is located in a real POW camp and there are loads of artifacts and displays to look at... A must for any one wanting to know about wars since ww1 including recent gulf wars. A well set out complex but a bit confusing going to the various "prisoners"huts. This used to be a POW camp. Well explained and large outdoor weaponry exhibits. Only complaint was layout confusing and had to regularly consult guide. Would be nice if there... More

We were told about this place by a local and loved it. You could spend all day reading each exhibition which relate to different aspects of the war but also show previous and post ww2 conflicts. Even without a child in tow I found it fascinating with a nice shop and cafe on site

Wonderful unique museum and cafe. We've been many times and there's always something else to discover. Brilliant day out, educational in a great way it brings the reality of war home
