Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic customer service, they were really accommodating even though I'd made a booking error. The staff were well trained and very helpful. The climbing course was really well thought out and we all had a great time. This is my second visit, and I can highly recommend the zip wire course too. Will definitely come back again.

Visited to do the zip trek having done the rifle shooting a couple of years ago. Absolutely loved it. Finley the host was great. Very friendly and approachable and helpful. Liked it so much I’m going back this weekend and taking my kids and booking again for a work team building activity next year to do high ropes!

Absolutely brilliant experience! Went on the zip wires with niece & great nephew to challenge myself. I am petrified of heights so ……. Abby, one of the instructors, came round the course with me due to my fear and was so calm and reassuring that I actually completed the course instead of freezing up. Although I didn’t look down a lot (!) I did manage it whilst going over the lake and it was an incredible feeling. I would recommend the zip wires completely - even if you’re a bit iffy about heights, I am SO glad I did it. The whole set up is incredibly well organised and efficient. Highly highly recommended.

I booked for 4 of us (my husband and I, and our two sons) to go do the High Ropes on Thursday 31st August. Initially we were booked for 3pm but the day before I called to change the time because of the forecasted rain - they were fab and moved us to an 11am slot instead. On arrival we checked in easily, got someone to put our harness on, which was then double checked by another High Ropes employee and set off for the induction, which was very helpful. After that, we were encouraged to start on part 2 of course 1 (whilst a younger group of kids started course 1). There are three courses, 1 being ground level, 2 being the next up and 3 being the one above that, and each course comes in 2 parts.
It was both scary in parts, but brilliant fun! My oldest son has a fear of heights and initially didn’t want to do it but he absolutely smashed it - despite going white as a sheet on a couple of occasions.
Will be back for the zip ropes and the rope course again! Thoroughly recommend.
Only suggestion, would be nice to have a proper little cafe for the people watching. There is a vending machine and a kettle, and outdoor tables - but there were a lot of adults watching outside.

6 15 year old boys found the course exciting- 3 levels with 2 routes on each and so not crowded. Able to complete all of it - not under time pressure- took 2 hours. 3rd level was challenging and they really enjoyed.

My daughter, who is age 6, was told she wasn't quite tall enough so couldn't take part. We had to sit out and was refused a refund. We were offered a gift voucher, which I found rather annoying as it's not cheap to participate. Family of 5 cost me £134. The manager had rude come backs when I expressed my unhappiness about the situation, telling me if it was him he would have checked the terms and conditions.

Dear Clare,
As a high ropes activity we have height and weight conditions that are in place to protect the safety of our guests. We try and make these as obvious as possible buy referencing them thorough out the booking process and asking guests to confirm that all participants meet the requirements.
We do appreciate that sometimes mistakes do happen which is why on this occasion the Manager used his discretion and offered a return voucher valid against any of our activities. I'm sorry this wasn't what you hoped and I hope your disappointment didn't stop the rest of the family having a great time with us.

Although it was raining and it made the course quite slippery we still had a great day! The staff were very informative about how to stay safe on the course and what to do if you fall ect, everything was very supportive and I would 100% recommend going

I did the zip wire trek with my son-in-law to raise funds and awareness for charity. It was also my son-in-laws birthday
We had a great time though I wouldnt recommend it for anyone with heights problems lol. Also you need a fair bit of upper body strength, something I lacked 🤦🏻♀️ having had to be rescued hanging over the lake haha.
I’d say a great activity and my son-in-law did the 50ft drop climb too.
The only thing I’d say is if you are travelling a long distance perhaps do the high ropes course too to make your journey worthwhile as it’s over pretty quick

For adventurous individuals this is a fantastic way to spend a few hours. I have been several times now and have always had great fun. The instructors are all really friendly and encouraging for those who are more apprehensive. I highly recommend visiting.

Hello there, I have 6 and 8yr old boys who I think might enjoy this 😅. Most definitely the 8yr old. Are they too young for this?
Thank You.
Can I bring my small dog

Ok saw a couple of dogs when I visited, which stayed with a member of the group (the parent of the child climbing on this occasion).
I probably wouldn't suggest bringing your dog if you won't have someone to watch him/her as you'll be busy climbing for quite a while. Best to leave them at home safe and sheltered (especially as summer comes)

Hi, is it a bit on the young side for a family with a 16 and 21 year old children?

Hi there, thanks for your message- we have lots of adult clients come to us, for hen dos, stag dos, adult birthdays and just plain old days out!
To make the most of your visit we recommend you come first thing in the morning when we first open, then you are in ahead of the crowd and less likely to get held up by nervous clients! We really hope to see you soon! Kind regards, The Rope Runners Crew.

Hi there. Are there any facilities for under 5? I have a 14,10,3 and baby. My older 2 would love this but wondering what my 3 yr old would do. Thanks

Hi Zoe, sorry but 6 is the minimum age for all our activities. There is plenty of space for your toddler to wander around and you can follow the older ones everywhere they go, but for some it's like torture! Hope this helps, regards, Jo
