Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our family group of seven from the UK was staying in Magny-le-Hongre and decided to visit Sea Life. We are all animal enthusiasts and try to visit zoos, wildlife parks and aquaria whenever we can.
I note certain other reviews saying you can walk round Sea Life in 40 minutes, and I guess you can...if all you want to do is glance at the fish and move on.
On the other hand, if you have any real interest in marine life, you could spend quite a while here, as we did. Not only is Sea Life helpfully 'zoned', but there is a wealth of fascinating information beside every tank, in both French and English.
All of us particularly noticed how well the tanks were both furnished and maintained. It really did give us the feeling that there was great care and concern for all the species, and left us feeling both happy and impressed. It was as nice a display of marine life as we've seen anywhere.
For anyone with genuine interest in this area, we'd thoroughly recommend Sea Life.

Exorbitant price for 1 dark aquarium, and quite limited. Nothing special. Much better in Paris or the surrounding area for a much lower price or at the same price but with a much higher offer.

It cost me 31 euros for one adult and one child its maybe cheaper if you book online but it is certainly not worth it , i was round in about 10 minutes i just would not bother with a sea life centre again, far too small for the money they charge..

Ok to while away an hour, although boldly advertised as penguins there..after 2 hours no sign of any penguins..no adverts or notices were around to say..when and where they were being fed! So the children were very disappointed with this.!!!AT a cost of 45euros for 1adult/2children it wasnt very good value!!

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write your comment. We are sorry to read that you visit was not as good as you expected. To respect the well being of our penguins, seasons are reproduced exactly the same in the penguin display. Indeed, during winter time, the daylight in the subantarctic islands arrives around 3.30pm. Well observe, you can still see them in the darkness resting. We still wish that you visit us again shortly, many animations are still to discover in 2020. That will be the chance to take a better look at our penguins. Best Regards, Lily, quality service, SEA LIFE Paris Val D'Europe.

Excellent place to learn about marine species and have fun, at the same time with other part of the family doing shopping outside in the huge mall. It is one of the few aquariums/zoos where I have seen interactive screens where kids may click and learn, with animations and sound, about different species of fish. It is also the first place where I have seen a baby stingray, poisonous, of only 6 months old :)

Having looked forward to visiting we were very disappointed firstly at the size and secondly at the lack of penguins. Looking at the flyer we had it showed a picture of TWO breeds of penguins (emperor/king and a smaller breed) more on these later. Having heard the announcement over the PA system the the feeding of the rays were about to start we rushed around to the area this was taking place. On getting there the lady was giving a talk (all in French) no attempt at any point was any attempt made to find if there were any non French speakers there. As for the feeding of the rays, after standing there waiting and listening to something we could not understand, it appeared that the Rays weren't going to get fed so we gave up and walked of by this time there was no left to listen to the commentary. Yes there are some fish of all shapes and sizes of what genus it is hard to tell as there is little information about anything in any of the tanks, apart from common sense to say that's a turtle or ohhhh look another shark of some sort. And so back to the Penguins which we were hoping was going to be the highlight of the tour. Sadly as already mentioned these Penguins were a real disappointment, 3 yes that's right 3 small uninterested Penguins is all that were there and they are in what is a clean but fairly poor attempt to mimic their natural habitat. All in all we were there for about 35 minutes, 20 of which were spent at the Ray tank waiting for feeding time. We left very disappointed at the whole of the experience €17 is very expensive for what I Can only call a poor aquarium. Yes it was clean which is the only good thing I could find to say about this place. I won't start on about the staff whom seemed disinterested in the customer experience. As for the gift shop, what can I say but again very poor

Dear Paul, Thank you for sharing your last experience in our aquarium. We are sorry to read that your visit was too short. Next time, we invite you to participate in the numerous animations we offer every day: rockpool, feedings (turtles, rays, sharks), creative workshops, speeches... You can find the detail of our animations on our website and in the animation program we distribute at the entrance. Best Regards, Sea Life Team

I paid for this online as it offers a discount. It is a complete waste of money! There is not much too it and it only took is 10 minutes or so to get through it all! Not worth the money at all
