Photo-op!

Some people think that this place doesn't offer much and I can understand how. It's a rusted old lighthouse. If you look at it differently though, this place can seem magical. Walking up to the lighthouse you'll see a wonderful view of the Guisi Beach. Try visiting past 3pm so that you will see everything basked in beautiful afternoon light.... More

Well, we took a quick tour of the island and this is one of the stop over...nothing much to do here, there are some ruins here and there, thats it..just take some photos of the lighthouse and ruins quick and visit some of the island's beaches or try their mangos...

The place is kind of far and the ride going there is bumpy (esp if you opt for the tricycle tour), but it is worth the visit when in Guimaras. There are two lighthouses, one modern and another rusty Spanish period one, which are enclosed in the ruins of some structure (from the Spanish period too, I guess). Despite our... More

We often read in travel blogs that "when in Guimaras Island, visiting the Guisi Lighthouse is a must". IF A person is a glutton for beautiful backdrops of selfies, this place is a haven. The rustic lighthouse together with the trees and vines that have grown within the old walls of the ruin is also a perfect setting for a... More

Place is rustic and beautiful. The trees grow on the wall. The view on top was incredible. Quite far though, but definitely a must see in Guimaras. It's a nice place for photo ops. The beach area is different from the light house but you can see on the way to the light house the clear water and fine white... More

It is far and advisable to ride multicab or 4 wheel vehicles when you decide to go here. tricycles are not really fit for the rough terrain. The lighthouse with its surrounding ruins is very photogenic. A perfect backdrop for any pose.. :) Entrance fee is P20

Arriving at the port from Iloilo rent a motorcycle (app. 500 Pesos) or a Tricycle (app. 1000 Pesos) to go there. It's about a 1 hour ride and the road is good until the last 4 kilometers of dirt road. You can climb up the rusty devastated lighthouse and enjoy a magnificent view around, including the ocean. If you want... More

We availed of the tricycle day tour and from what I understand, this is one of the farthest point you can visit for P1200 rate. We visited 2 farthest points so we paid 1500 (the other one was the windmills). The road is a little bumpy on some parts and I can imagine it being harder to go to when... More

There is nothing really special with the ruins of the lighthouse, but it was a good place for photo ops and the view of the open sea is gorgeous. Climbing the old lighthouse is possible but do it with caution.

The original lighthouse built in the 1800's is an interesting site. They have a new solar powered lighthouse in the middle of the old one. The watch people tend to collect a 20 peso fee then disappear. I'd have liked it better if they would give a tour of all the rooms and tell how the the original lighthouse was... More
