It wasnt the best day (since it rained) when we went there but the bed of blue flowers, it is seasoned in end of april and start of may, which we were up to was still there but they are not in their best condition already since their season is almost over. The Park is very big. Getting in the... More

Going to Tokyo in May means the sakura season is over. Hence, it seems like one must go for the sea of nemophila in Ibaraki. The problem is you can find sakura during the season in many places but everyone go to the same park for the nemophila. Hence, while the massive planting of flowers is impressive, so is the... More

Drove from Tokyo - took us about 1.5 hours which is doable but the toll fares cost about 3000+ Yen. The park doesn't open until 9 30am, and if you're there for the blue flowers (Nemophilia), best to park at the West carpark (instead of the South carpark). The hills were beautiful, some patches of green where the flowers have... More

This is a must for people who love and enjoy strolling along a huge park. The Nemophilas were in full bloom when we visited and it was kind of unique to see the park turned into an ocean of blue flowers, I suggest to also see the different colors and kind of tulips.

The entrance fee of this place is ¥410 for an adult. Senior ¥210. A great place for everyone. Beside flower park, there is a small amusement park for kids. If you want to explore the whole park you can either take a little train ride (¥500) or rent a bike. Many people come here at the end of April or... More

We went here last week to catch the Nemophilas. The place is too far and the staff doesn't speak English. No English translations for signages and they only have very limited English maps. They only gave us 2 copies and there were 6 of us. The flowers were nice, but that was the only thing we saw. The weather wasn't... More

After seeing the photos of the blue nemophila in bloom, my mum and I decided that we had to go see it for ourselves! I recommend giving yourself time to just enjoy at a leisurely pace because it's a big park with lots to see. For us, we found a hotel relatively nearby so it wasn't too hard to go... More

Blue Phenomenal - Nemophila is the biggest draw for Tourist domestically and internationally. Getting to Hitachi Seaside Park no longer is difficult especially during this APRIL AND MAY Season as they are a no of way to reach the park. From Tokyo Station there are some direct train that will arrive to katsuta (90min) and if you transfer to local... More

Oh such a nice place to go with the family, next to the ocean so you can feel the breeze on a hot day. There's amusement park rides for the kids, food stalls for outdoor dining or picnics, lots of people with dogs and of course flowers! All sorts of different type of flowers! There's a train to take to... More
