About
The Fenn Bell Conservation Project was started with two Kune Kune pigs, Ginger and Spice. Seeing an add on the internet I fell in love with them and decided to bring them home to meet the wife. Little did I know how taking these two pigs on would change my life and open up a whole new world for me. Fast forward to today and we have achieved so much. - Amie NEngland, United Kingdom61 contributionsSuper santa safariWe had the best time at the Santa Safari today. All the elves were sooo bubbly and friendly. We really loved the "coolest elf". He loved our glasses and he was very pleased when we made the nice list and the elves in santa's grotto gave us a "personal" welcome 😁😁😁😁. Santa was lovely: it was great to chat to him and talk to him about Christmas. Everything looked wonderfully Christmassy and magical and sparkly. You have worked so hard on this and it shows. The Fenn Bell is fantastic value for money too, as you get the chance to walk around the zoo before or after the santa safari to see all the wonderful animals. The food in the pub/restaurant is very good price and you get sooo much food!!!! Cannot wait to come again next year. We love you Fenn Bell ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️Visited December 2022Travelled with friendsWritten 20 December 2022
- Carl B2 contributionsJunior Keeper for the day experianceToday (27/12) I took m 2 children (7 & 10 year old) on the Junior Keeper for a day experience. And it was fantastic. Th day started with an in depth talk about each animal on a private behind the scenes tour, moved to food prep before we had a pre-paid lunch (for the kids) and then 5 animal encounters. The whole day was brilliant. The keeper taking us around (Sam) was great. And worked with us to help my highly anxious 7 year old to relax in the hectic lemur cage. There was nothing that we would change. Over all a brilliant experience that has to be one of Santa's best presents ever.Visited December 2022Written 27 December 2022
- sueeleySouthampton, United Kingdom198 contributionsFantastic fox experianceWe traveled from southampton . I had the fox experiance bought for me for xmas. On arrival we spent half an hour having a look round at the animals. We met up with luke our experiance tour man x We went into the fox enclosure and spent half an hour hand feeding the foxes pellets nuts and fruit. They were a bit nervous of us to start with but soom the dad ghost was soon running back and forth for the chicks. Gradualy they all came round apart from mum fox peggy she held back. Luke told us all we needed to no about these beautiful animals, how ghost and peggy were rescued from a fur farm. So glad they were. All the other foxes in there are there daughters So ghost is out numbered he is the one with one ear When it finished we carried on around the rest of the zoo to see the other animals . Great day out as it was my bday x So worth the travel to get there. Thankyou luke for all the information you gave us. A great experiance being that close to the fox family xVisited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 January 2023
- HFLI89Kent, United Kingdom50 contributionsGreat little family afternoon out!Really enjoyed a family afternoon here. Great for my toddler as he could walk all round with it being one of the smaller zoos we have visited, but the zoo itself is really nicely laid out, with good paths and wooden walk ways. My son had a lovely time, especially as the viewing panes are actually at a great height for the little ones, not like some places we've been where you spend the whole time picking them up to see! The lady in the pub after was great with our little one, playing stacking cups with him whilst we had a decent coffee, we really appreciated that, such a small gesture but just a friendly and welcoming place. Thank you. We visited on the January £2.50 offer but would be more than happy to pay full price as we love the work they are doing with the animals. Oh and the play park is great! The slides are fast! Ha. Definitely recommend!Visited January 2023Written 25 January 2023
- jok111kelKent, United Kingdom1 contributionGreat Experience all round!Visited today for a birthday fox experience from my daughter Emma. Even though the weather was lousy we got a warm welcome. The sanctuary is not huge by any means but the enclosures are large and animals well cared for . The Fox experience? Fantastic! Our keeper Managing the experience Sam, was knowledgeable, loved his job and knew his stuff. Go visit! Buy an Experience and support this great Project. Will definitely visit again. Thanks Guys! - Tel R4 contributionsLovely little zooLovely little zoo. Reasonably priced for tickets, gift shop and drinks. Lovely picnic area. There is a playground there for the children. Large indoor hall to eat if raining. They do serve food at pub prices but didn't eat there myself as went in morning and had breakfast before I went. The staff were all very friendly. If you down in Kent or staying at holiday park up road and have children or just want to go as adult. I would definitely recommend it and you will help to keep this little zoo going.Visited March 2023Travelled soloWritten 31 March 2023
- Jay J6 contributionsGreat morning outThe Fenn Bell has been transformed since my last visit. Such a pleasurable experience. The animals, as always, look well cared for and the staff are friendly and helpful. The play area is great for running off steam. The pub does great food too!!Visited March 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 2 April 2023
- emmasrose49 contributionsJunior keeper for the dayMy daughter(age 8) had a junior keeper for the day experience today and loved every second of it. She spent the day with Amy who was very knowledgeable and friendly. My daughter got to feed 6 different animals, lemurs, meerkats, racoon dogs, pigs, otters and marmosets. We had lunch in the pub (my daughter's food was included in the keeper for the day experience) there is a great choice of food which is reasonably priced and it all tasted great. All the staff we interacted with throughout the day were very helpful and friendly. Although I wasn't a "spectator" I was still able to follow around to watch my daughter take part in most of the experience. Her favourite part was being in with the lemurs and she said there are no bad parts "I even loved the poo picking!!" She learnt so much from Amy and I would highly recommend the experience to anyone!!Visited April 2023Written 11 April 2023
- ViktoriaRochester, United Kingdom71 contributionsGreat family day outGreat family day out! We have 2,under 3's. They loved the playground- slides and climbing areas with tunnels to crawl through. The zoo itself is small, but compact. They have otters, flamingos, white foxes, birds, owls, binturongs.... Easily accessible with pushchair or wheelchair- wooden platforms with anti slip strips. The keepers are very friendly. Toilets were clean, the gift shop is nice. Food service was good, fairly priced also. We are visiting a few times a year, worth checking the Christmas, Halloween attractions.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 May 2023
- BiancaD15Beckenham, United Kingdom231 contributionsSuited for smaller childrenVisited with our 2 year old and although we enjoyed the couple of hours we was there, the zoo is smaller then we expected. There is a climbing frame area for the children to play on. A small selection of animals to view and a cafe on site which we didn’t use. The zoo is kept tidy. We was there 2 hours but definitely aimed at smaller toddlers as there isn’t a vast amount to do.Visited April 2023Written 20 May 2023

We attended the Santa Safari this evening and it was awesome! It was well laid out, easily accessible for all and the staff were so cheerful and interacted with everyone. There was something for everyone! My 2year old loved the colouring station, I loved the photo props, my partner enjoyed the quad ride and my eldest found the elves and the 'naughty or nice' chair funny. Of course Santa and Mrs Claus were brilliant and really went that extra mile to make the children believe!
The only thing I'd have personally liked to have seen to make it that extra bit special would be to have seen the animals as we walked through. I don't know if that would be possible though as I can imagine most animals were probably sleeping.
We will definitely be booking to go in the summer so we can see the animals and will book the Santa Saferi again too!

An excellent visit to the zoo but breakfast before was not as good! The pub was freezing! Our drinks came 1/2 an hour before our breakfast! The food was tasty when it arrived 45 mins after ordering but came out bit by bit and was generally cold! We asked about heating and were told they couldn’t light the fire as they have no guard!!! Such a shame as it let the breakfast down…£104 was a lot for cold food. ( I did complain at the time and received an apology!

Excellent small zoo, a great selection of animals. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I wasn’t expecting there to be as much there as there was, the monkey and armadillo were our personal highlights. We went in the October half term and they had a “spooky” tractor type ride that went around the zoo and was free. We were there for a couple of hours and would really recommend it. Well worth the ticket price

A tiny zoo that has made an amazing effort with the animals and the enclosures. Due to the size of the zoo, photography is not easy or practicable in many instances, but this is not the reason for three stars, just a warning to others, and I imagined this might be the case before we went. I realise that many small zoos and wildlife centres will only provide basic catering, if that. I thought that with a pub it would be a little better. Coffee was dire, the toasted sandwiches had tasteless cheese and came with tasteless tortilla chips. It may be that the proper meals are better. No bitter, so no bitter shandy. But a delightful place to wander round.

Animals were easy to see via the walkways which are wheel chair and buggy friendly.
Animals had good size enclosures and and habitat.

A return visit after visiting earlier in the year, good layout and a good selection of animals which the enclosures allow good viewing, pleasant surroundings with lots of natural plants and wildlife. £5 each entry is such good value, free parking. Small children’s play area which was well maintained along with everything else on the site. Staff all friendly and helpful, good value food and drinks. Nice to see the progress on the new enclosure, look forward to visiting again.

I don’t normally say this, but I had absolutely nothing to complain about. I took a trip here off the cuff, I’ve lived nearby for many years and have never visited the animals here.
I was blown away at just how good it was, taken into account it only cost £15 quid for me, my wife and my daughter. The animals were beautiful, with fantastic habitats.
The Zoo was tidy and well kept and there was even an ATV taking trips around at no extra cost.
If you are an animal lover you will have a great time here, we popped into the Feb bell Inn after for lunch, this was also fantastic and have left a positive review and reccomend at ion for that also.

We stopped here on the way home from Allhallows. This is a very small zoo. My two whizzed round it in about 20 minutes. We stayed for the safari ride which they enjoyed but we were only there around an hour in total. Decent playground. Animals looked after well. Very friendly staff. Worth a fiver but no more.

Animals were kept in clean conditions with plenty of space, and seemed to be happy in their surroundings. It was ultra safe and there was a road train which gave you a tour. You could see everything via the public walkways . They were in the process of being expanded. It was easily accessible for pushchair and wheelchair There was also a play area for the little visitors x

Lovely family zoo. Great value for money at only £5 each. Some very unusual animals there, and great safari ride too. Nice little gift shop and cafe attached as well as the pub.

The zoo was pushchair friendly which would satisfy wheelchair and those with lesser walking abilities. Really would give them a ring on tel:01634270422 and ask. They are friendly and you can book a table if you were looking to eat and ask about all facilities.
