We live visiting ancient sites especially abbeys and castles etc... This didn't offer that WOW factor like many other historic ruins. It looks like the shell of a church and nothing more. Perhaps I am being a bit unfair here but although the current ruin...More

The cathedral ruins are beautiful! What was most amazing is that they are surrounded by houses and in the middle of a small town. Fabulous photo opportunity but limited information to read which was a shame. Free entry so worth the short drive from Inverness.

Our group of 5 loved strolling the grounds of this old cathedral. There is a lot of signage that gives information about the cathedral. Lovely place to stop and stroll around at.

The St Boniface Fair is experiencing living history. It's a lovely fair - we have done it for the last 2 years and will be back next year (hopefully).

Situated just off the High Street with some parking outside. Visited in the hope of finding some family history (no luck). Set in quiet location was very peaceful with enough information to get a feeling for its past.

One street back you can find the semi- derelict Fortrose Cathedral. Quite an impressive set of ruins. If you are passing definitely worth stopping.

We were here looking for Dolphins and when we saw a signpost to the Cathedral we stopped by to have a look. We walked around it and took some photos, very well kept grounds.
