This beach is really awesome. Spacious and with relative few people. Suspect it is more crowded in August, though. Nice panorama from above when you arrive.

If you walk north you'll find the nude beach (in the second cove). It's very peaceful and relaxing. The only downside is the dirt track getting to the beach as it's bumpy on your car.

Das melhores na zona e a nivel nacional. One of the best in the country. Good for surf, walk or simply rest. Isolated from restaurants and bars but nice acessibilities.

Amazing view, close from river, no so many people there and we can really enjoy a vacation there. Bring with you food and water etc (they don't have so many restaurants there)

Nice, safe swimming, and the sand is clean. Lovely views out to sea and along the river estuary. No services on the beach, but dozens of restaurants and bars in Vila Nova de Milfontes, along with plenty of shops and a good tourist information centre

Beaches near the river were better to go to water than the ocean side. Cause the oceanside was with stones... Although the best part was from the other side of the river, it's better to cross the river by ferry and have a nice sandy...More

I've been to Praia do Malhão several times over the last 30 years and I'm happy that tourism and social networking didn't change it much aside from a few more people than it had before but then it was practically a deserted beach. Alongside with...More

This is a very nice beach. The ocean was very cold but refreshing. One day there was a sand bar and you could swim to it. It was so neat to swim out then walk around on the sand bar. The current was a little...More
