Sasthamkotta lake is the best picnic spot.we were spend above three hours on there. it's very familiar lake also.

Boating in this lake is an awesome experience. Very calm surrounding. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, looks very great. There is a Temple on the Banks.

The only fresh water lake in Kerala , daytime is the best time to visit, spending time at night is usually not recommended here

The lake is one of the main attractions of kollam. Though occassionally not clean, the lake is a great tourist attraction.
