We had originally booked before lockdown in March and changed to September as they were closed. We emailed several times to check they would be open and what would be happening on the day and the communication was very good and we were kept informed. We were refunded part of our payment due to lots of areas being out of action. Bath robes lovely and towels provided. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely spa and spa area. Treatments were really nice. Food tasted lovely. We just had a few issues which disappointed us. COVID restrictions well adhered to and everything explained. I do think the spa quests should get more than one tiny lane of the swimming pool as it meant we couldn’t get in the pool at all during the day as there was always someone in there. It’s not really a spa day without use of a pool. Hot tubs lovely and we only had to wait once. Relaxation room really nice. Food was all nice but you can’t serve yourself obviously due to restrictions. This was our main problem. Our lunch time was booked for us not by us so we attended lunch later and you can’t help yourself so tell the lady what you would like - she then informs you in front of people you can’t have what you have specified as there isn’t enough!!! It was kebabs on the day we went. I’m not sure how many you are allowed but I was told I couldn’t have what I asked for then she reluctantly put it on the plate - made me feel uncomfortable as I was just asking for 3 kebabs and many others in the restaurant had exactly that plus other buffet items which I hadn’t chosen. We then went back up later as it’s a buffet to ask to try a different kebab and there were none left. When you book you book a buffet - you don’t get this! For this reason we ate our pudding straight after rather than coming back in case there was none left. We were also not advised in advance you can’t use the hair dryers in the changing rooms so washed our hair without knowing and had to drive home with wet hair. Overall it’s a lovely spa and we enjoyed our day. Shame we were made to feel uncomfortable at lunch time.

Another excellent stay. Whilst a little more regimented due to COVID, still a lovely relaxing stay. Measures in place with sanitisers throughout. Great time in the hot tub. Meal excellent as usual. Special shout out to Josh, as friendly and sunny as ever. A real credit to the place, always a pleasure.

I came to the Fairlawn hotel on my own today for a relaxing spa day. I booked it on a whim not too long ago after feeling a bit burnt out. The day included a glass of prossecco and two 55 minute treatments along with use of all the facilities. This hotel is really spectacular. It looks as if they have spent alot of money on it. Theres lots to chose from with the different salt, steam rooms and saunas. It was a pleasure to be there. Plenty of hand sanitizers every where, and before both my treatments i was asked to wash my hands properly and use the sanitizer on arrival. Lots of precursions being taken to do with Cov 19. So much food included in my day too! Fruit and coissants for breakfast, soup, salad with meats for lunch and afternoon tea cakes in the late afternoon. I was stuffed, and i could only manage half my lunch. Both massages were pretty good, i can’t complain:) and the customer service was excellent from most the staff. One negative amongst so many positive aspects is that i wish the Steam room and some of the Saunas were a bit hotter. Something from my own doing that i have learnt from is.. by booking two 55 minute treatments and wanting to totally chill out in the pool, hydratherapy rooms and jacuzzis- this did not leave me with plenty of time. Next time i think the 1 treatment will do just fine. One of the best Spas i have been too. I would happily visit again. xxx

We haven’t actually stayed here yet. We were due to have a spa weekend 14-15th March for our wedding anniversary. Our eldest daughter has taken ill and we’ve have to self isolate due to everything going on currently. We rang to discuss moving our stay and it was done with no issues and without the admin fee due to the circumstances. I’m looking forward to staying even more than before, fab customer service already before we’ve even arrived!
