A wide paved walkway makes it easy to get to the lighthouse. We take a walk from Altea every other week just to enjoy a nice walk with a fantastic view.

This is a very nice walk through a beautiful park land of about 5k in total, half way stop at The Lighthouse view. Great views of the sea, Albir, Altea coastline, Calpe rock, not too difficult but plenty of stopping areas and photo spots to...More

A very nice walk through some interesting scenery. The path is paved all the way so walking boots are not required. There are many information boards along the way to add extra interest. The gradients aren’t very steep so suitable for all ages. Cyclists and...More

Took the walk up to the Faro in l'Albir in the Sierra Gelada; an easy walk with lovely views on the way & spectacular views from the lighthouse. Interesting flora & geology, with remains of ochre mines. Check opening times of the lighthouse keeper's cottage...More

Visited this park again and took an alternate route to have a look at the red ocre mine works , pathways are fairly rugged so not for everyone and some steep climbs in places but well worth taking a look.

Everything about this walk is a delight for regular and casual walkers alike. The main trail starts with very informative information boards and signage and the path is fully tarmacked all the way to the lighthouse. The views are fabulous and visitor centre at the...More

I didn't read any reviews before i did this, i just fancied doing it. I got the train from Benidorm up to Albir (15mins) and found myself heading for the mast by going directly up the north side (very steep and rocky for 30 mins)...More

A lovely way to spend a morning. The views over the bay are beautiful. The lighthouse was closed when we got there due to a national holiday but it didn't detract from the views.

The walk to the lighthouse is a pleasant diversion for a couple of hours , not hard going as the gradients are reasonably gentle great views , probably best done on a cooler day.

Taxi is around €8, bus to Albir around €1.50 or walk. Walk is beautiful, but not easily marked out once you go past the benedo cross. It’s also a fairly strenuous walk so not suitable for young children.

Yes as said many times above it is totally free if you don't fancy the walk up to the start you can always get a taxi up, but always take drinks.
