The temple complex is simply magnificent. The deity is large and almost overwhelming. The parikrama is so well maintained, that I was really impressed. The salt-less Vada is delicious. A must try.

Uppiliappan is phenomenally beautiful with two goddesses sitting beside. Best time to visit is morning 6-7 am. No much of rush

One of my favourite temples to visit. The elephant near the entrance dances and blesses people when they give him change. The idols are beautiful in true Vaishnavite tradition

When we went we were able to see the Thirumanjanam to main deity. Perumal is tall. There is a story that this Perumal is brother of Tirumala Perumal.

Each temple has a rich history and a factual story like the temple of Uppaliappan as well. Amazing beauty. However, I want to encourage local authorities and people to keep it clean for better preservation of our culture and history and spirituality.

as advised by our colleagues, it is better to stay at Kumbakonam wherein you can have good hotels as per your choice. It is just 6 Kms distance from Kumbakonam to Uppiliappan temple.
