Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We all knew that Luwak Coffee is wellknown in the world as most expensive coffee. Even in Italy they sell this coffee for €50 per cups (expresso cup). But here you can get lot lot cheaper for a single cup. Here we can also see how to make Luwak Coffee and see the Luwak itself here. If you are a coffee addict you can make this place as a place you have to go while you have a trip around Jogjakarta.

As there is very little else to do in town with kids this was a great 30 minutes learning about and tasting this extraordinary coffee.

I was very curious about Luwak coffee, so I entered with the intention of buying and enjoying this rare coffee, but what I saw shocked me. Civic cats looked as if they were bored out of their minds. They had barely any room to exercise. They looked unhealthy. They were deprived of physical and mental stimulation. Most likely they were caught in the nearby forests and ripped away from their mates and families. I went there with an open mind, but I left depressed and disgusted by how some people willingly abuse animals for profit and how some people ignore suffering. And all of this is for a cup of coffee. Sick! Do not just take my word for this. Before paying for civet coffee, do some research.

This place not only provides good quality coffee Luwak but it also gives you a chance to see Civet (the animal who excretes Luwak coffee bean) in close contact. You can pet them as well.
You will first be given a briefing on how the Luwak coffee beans are obtained. Then, get to pet & photo with the civets. Next, order and taste the Luwak coffee at the cheapest price on earth (

What a delight to learn about this amazing discovery, the cats that choose the best coffee beans to eat straight from the branch, the farmers then collect their excrement and this family dry, wash and process the roasted coffee beans and we drink this incredible cup of coffee where the wonderful flavour lingers so much longer than usual

25,000rp for one shot of Arabica. Free cassava chips to go with your coffee. 400,000rp for 100g + free batik handkerchief. They accept different currencies and credit cards. You can watch documentaries about Luwak coffee while you're there. Staff are friendly and nice. Would've gone back the next day if I hadn't woken up late. Hah!

Interesting to see how the production process of the world famous Luwak coffee is done. In this facility you can experience the process from start (the Civet Cat) to finish and taste the coffee (at RP25000, about $2) per cup.
