We had a day out for my sons birthday 12/8/21 and Wow!What a day!
It was brilliant.
Ian was a great guide and whizzed us all over the Solent for a sight seeing expedition.
Lovely rib,very safety conscious too.
I would highly recommend this day out 🛥

We had a great experience with Ian. A great mix of exhilaration and information. He made us feel incredibly safe and was clearly an expert seaman. All is all, a great time - would certainly do it again.

A fantastic day on the water with Ian. Professional from start to finish...very covid responsible..procedure..equipment..explanation s..we felt very safe and reassured. Slick boat handling...great local knowledge and background. Would highly recommend as a great experience for families and small bubbles. Saw seals in Newtown and tried hard for dolphins at the Needles..sadly not to be
.perhaps next time.

Recently a group of friends all enjoyed a fantastic day out with C2 Ribs skippered by the wonderful Ian!
A truly wonderful day. Why would I recommend C2 Ribs?
Ian (the owner) is a great bloke - he manages to combine many aspects of going out on the water into one package, safety and thrilling views and experiences are all efficiently delivered. You can trust and admire his professionalism as soon as you meet him.
Throughout the day humour was on tap but always well managed by Ian. We did our safety drill, discovered which bits fitted into the safety gear and which needed a (slightly?) bigger size - all done very seriously by Ian but always with a chance for an off the cuff laugh when needed.
Ian managed to combine perfect efficient professionalism with a wonderful chummy, chatty humour - even when we got soaked by a bit of choppy spray.
We were lucky on our trip to go very close to the Needles and the lighthouse and then the icing on the cake - a manoeuvre was going on where a man was lowered onto the lighthouse in front of our eyes - how great was that?
I can't recommend C2 Ribs enough and I had an absolutely brilliant day out with Ian and his wonderful rib.

Thank you ever so much for a lovely review, I try hard to ensure eberyone has a great time on the water, You picked a lovely day as it happened and also saw the Coastguard practising at The Needle Lighthouse, very privileged as I had not seen that before either. Thanks Ian

WE hired C2 Ribs for a corporate day out for our team.
A good briefing by the skipper Ian on arrival and waterproof jackets and lifejackets supplied for all the team.
Ian took time to familiarise us with the boat and pick a route on the day the was a comfortable as possible based on wind, tide etc.
We managed to get to to the Needles before lunch then into Yarmouth for lunch and then back up Southampton Water as well as a few other stops and visits on the way.
The team aggreed it was a great day out with a great blend of adventure and safety.
The boat is very comfortable and very well equiped with a full range of safety gear.

We hired the RIB to take some photos of the U.S.S. Theodore Rossevelt, anchored off Stokes Bay. The RIB was very comfortable at all speeds and the proprietor, Ian Winson was an excellent pilot and was able to take us around the ship stopping wherever we wanted, outside the security zone. We received very good safety instructions before we left and we would certainly use c2ribs again. The costs were not unreasonable.

My daughter decided to hire a RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) during Cowes week on the Isle of Wight. Pick up point was Hamble Marina on the mainland.

The boat was powered by a 350 BHP Yamaha outboard engine and seated up to 10 people. I was one of the eight who actually went.

The boat was piloted by a very amiable chap called Ian Winson. He made it clear from the very start that the whole idea of the day was to have fun with safety.

The first part of the journey to Cowes was rather slow despite the protestations of the four teenagers on board. This was due to strictly enforced speed limits. Once beyond these, however, Ian really opened up the throttle and we skimmed across the water in excess of 35 mph. It was amazing to find ourselves soon in the midst of the racing yachts. Such was Ian's expertise in handling the boat, though, that I never felt we impeded them in any way. Royalty were pointed out when seen.

After this we went to a less congested part of the Solent where anyone who was interested was allowed to pilot the boat under Ian's guidance. He delighted in showing just how well the boat dealt with waves and sharp turns. This produced squeals of joy from the youngsters.

We were then dropped off at Cowes to explore the town for 40 minutes or so. time enough for a toilet break and snack. Promptly at the appointed hour Ian returned with the RIB and collected us to explore the north western waters of the Isle of Wight and then over to Beaulieu to see the sights there. In the unrestricted waters Ian delighted is seeing just how much spray he could get over us. My daughter lost her scarf and I lost my hat. Never mind, it was well worth it.

Four hours after we set off we returned to Hamble. I don't think there was one person among us who had not thoroughly enjoyed the day. It wasn't cheap, even dividing the total cost by eight, but I thought it was worth every penny. Bear in mind that we consumed something like 70 litres of fuel and were riding in an £80,000 boat.

Lifejackets were compulsory and waterproofs were available for those who wanted them. It was surprisingly comfortable and at no time did I feel unsafe. I thoroughly recommend this adventure.
