Staff were friendly upon arrival. It is £10 entry per adult which we thought was quite expensive since your just walking around for a couple of hours but it was a new experience we wanted to try. The pattern of the maze changes every year. I got lost twice but was easy enough to work my way back to my partner even without a map. Will be back again once the maze changes just wish they made it a cheaper entry fee! Didn’t go in the coffee across from the maze as it was packed and loads of wasps flying around outside.

Another brilliant family outing to Wistow Maze. We’ve been visiting since our youngest was barely a toddler and she’s 21 now! All the kids, plus partners, still want to go every year. It really is for all ages and generations. It’s different every year and there’s lots of smaller outdoor games once you’ve had fun in the huge maze itself. You also receive a great unique welcome from the hardworking owner – her enthusiasm is infectious and it’s really obvious that she cares hugely that everyone has a great time. Afterwards we cross the road to Wistow Rural Centre – for the café, to browse the little shops, garden centre and the model village. A perfect summer’s day out for all without breaking the bank. Roll on next year.

Went early weekend, expensive, but was greeted by the lovely Lucy who explained the routes and maps and made the whole thing fab! Would definitely go again if Lucy was there, couldn’t explain how kind and welcoming she was!!
I was really scared of the birds and being trapped in the maze but lucy put my mind to ease and let me know birds weren’t real. Lovely girl 💗

It was our first visit to Wistow Maze and we loved it! It was fascinating to hear from the owner Diana how the maze is created using GPS, obviously a lot of time and effort goes into the planning. There is a really well thought out quiz trail hidden amongst the pathways, with fun questions and interesting facts to keep you entertained. It had a play area with lots of fun games and trestle tables if you wanted a picnic. We also visited the café and lovely quaint shops across the road at the Wistow Rural Centre. It was remarkably good value and we look forward to visiting again next year with the whole family.

Visited the Maze for the first time since I was a kid back in 2011. I remember it so well and every single time it a(maze)s me at how incredible and cool the experience is.
The Olympic Javelin Maze this year is very time consuming and really makes you think hard about the questions to the quizzes. It’s perfect for half a day or even a day out. When we visited it was one of the hottest days of July so water and snacks are highly recommended. The staff are extremely knowledgeable of the Maze and are super friendly and helpful. Makes the experience even more pleasurable.

What a fantastic day, great play area for all ages. Good picnic area and so much fun in the maze. The maze is taller the further in you go.
My grandchildren had a wonderful time.
My grandson enjoyed reading the map and guiding us all to each quiz board.
My granddaughter loved how tall the maze was and all the raises, she is still laughing at the funny shaped mirrors.

Absolutely lovely day at Wistow Maze again! This is a staple of our school holidays and we've been visiting every year for the last 9 years. It's always fabulous, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the maze offers enough of a challenge for my teenager whilst still having easier options for younger ones. Honestly, the best day out in the area and each year we look forward to the theme and design. Thanks for a wonderful time, we'll be back soon!

The maze was really fun, well produced and engaging. Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the activity. The staff were really friendly our guide/instructor at the start of the maze (believe her name was Lucy?) was really attentive and helped us when we didn’t quite understand the initial concept.
I didn’t realise you had to bring your own pencil, which is of no fault to the maze (they do list this online), fortunately they have pencils for sale at the front desk for just 25p, so we were able to enjoy the experience.
Will definitely be coming back next year, can’t wait to see what they design with the maze (as you can see online this is a big theme for them) this year it was Olympics based. When I have children, I’m sure they will enjoy it as well.

Excellent as always, even though the kids are now 15 they still love to come, though we now split up, and compete! Well maintained site and ice-creams a-plenty for afterwards. Nice way to spend a couple of hours out of doors :-)

Is there anyone to help if you. Get completely lost

You are given a map on arrival, and then briefed by a member of staff before you enter the giant maze. She will explain that all the paths lead to an open area (with pub tables), which has a Quick Exit sign if you need to get out quickly. So don't worry, you will get out even if you can't map read!!

I would put wellies on or old footwear that you don't mind getting dirty most is ok but there is parts that are a bit muddy

Are all areas wheelchair friendly?
Written 28 May 2017
Not 100% as it depends on the weather. The actual maze itself is packed mud and can get quite messy if it has recently rained. The paths are narrow in some places from previous experience but you should be able to squeeze through. You are also able to bypass the bridges as well if you have a pushchair or wheel chair. Always best to call before though to check its condition.

Thinking of taking my two kids here. They are 9 and 7. Do you have to pay for the extra activities? Or is this all included within the price. I see a family ticket is around £22.
Many thanks

It's all in with price, you park up (parking is free) and you go through a cabin which you pay your entrance fee then on the other side are the activities and benches for picnics then you can enter the maze when ever your ready. We loved it there, hope you have a fab time. X
