So the only thing separating you from the crocodiles is a chain link fence and a suspended wooden walkway. Lots of exciting potential for only 20 pesos. The crocodiles are all (mostly) at the start and finish of your walk, but the walk through the...More

It is a great walk through the mangroves to see crocodiles and local birds. The trail has been well looked after. Some of the side walks have been closed off but the main trail is good. It is interesting to see how they are preserving...More

A well-priced evening tour with an excellent guide (Herado) that takes in the local history museum before loading the party onto a rowboat to tour the lagoon viewing crocodiles and birdlife with an instructive description of the mangrove ecology.

Very cool. HUGE crocks in a login and right under your feet. Worth the 30 pesos. You can walk around a boardwalk and they are all around you. HUGE is an understatement. Babies are in pens protected. Worth the visit.

On our latest trip to La Manzanilla we decided to show our friends through the Cocodrilario (Crocodile Sanctuary). We had been there two years previously when the nature walk was only a very short stretch along a suspended walkway. We were astounded how much this...More

Definitely an adventure. Elevated wooden walkway over the water takes you around the croc enclosure. There are suspension bridges and a viewing tower, Mexican style. It's fun! Only 25 Pesos for adults.

“Mexico’s biggest crocodile sanctuary is only 20 minutes from here,” I told my sister-in-law while relaxing on a balcony overlooking the beautiful bay of Cuastecomates, near Barra de Navidad. She opened one eye and gave me a glance that seemed to say, “A cocodrilario? Ah,...More
