I lived in Dominican Republic and actually never had the opportunity to go there and recently during a quick trip I made the time, drove to Las Galeras... First you need to go to Las Galeras I need to find a good captain, the seas...More

We took a boat to Playa Fronton and truly loved it, an oasis with the mountain cliffs as a backdrop. There are several beaches to explore you just need to walk over some boulders. The water was clear and refreshing. Some folks have mentioned algae...More

Let me start by saying that the beach was beautiful. It was sandy and had plenty of room to spread out. There is a little restaurant at one end, though we didn't eat there. Getting there was an adventure. If you spend time traveling in...More

I wouldn't go to fronton on the boats. There are 25 foot waves. It's very dangerous and scary not to mention extremely bumpy .... they may be used to it and used to the risk but you are not ... it's not worth the money...More

You can reach the beach only by boat but the beach between the rock face and sea is really suggestive. There is a restaurant which offer you a menu of fish, lobster or chicken. It is slightly expensive but it is the only way to...More

Pretty beach, with rock and sandy beachhead. And hardly remote as boats bring tourists over en masse and the beach area isn’t that big. But the clear water and cliffs are breathtaking. The snorkeling was so-so, the water being low tide and turbulent. Didn’t see...More

We took a small boat from Las Galeras. We enjoyed a few hours with a relaxing beach, and good snorkeling. Feels isolated and has a beautiful view - setting at edge of mountain slope.

We took boat rides to Playas Fronton, Madama and Bonita. Madama and Bonita were great for swimming. Madama is a small quiet, isolated beach with some cool caves. Bonita is busier and very nice. Fronton, though, was the most fun. We ate at an outdoor...More

We decided to take a boat from Las Galeras and visit two beaches during one morning. We went first to Fronton beach and then to Rincon beach. The boat ride was great! The captain took us along cliffs and other hidden beaches. We reached Fronton...More

Playa Fronton is an intimate and secluded, white sandy beach with clear waters perfect for snorkeling. It is a lovely area close to climbing cliffs for the experienced climbers, and bat caves to explore.

Hola! if you have a car and can drive to Los Galeros, there are many small boats on the beach. Some, I suspect, are available for renting with their "captain" at the helm, of course. I did not see any kayaks, and while... More
