An outstanding example of years gone by. The pool is brilliant, but at times it gets a little dirty with sand, flies and hair. The changing rooms need some serious TLC. There is an onsite cafe which seems to do a great trade. The aqua...More

Glad you enjoyed it Delzer65. You're right, it is sea water, filtered to remove sand and impurities (but not salt!) before treatment to make it completely clean and safe. Then it's heated to a Mediterranean-like temperature of 29°C (usually warmer than the Med as well...More

Glad you enjoyed it. However, the pool is owned, staffed and operated by Aberdeenshire Council. The community group, the Friends of the Pool enhances, maintains and promotes the pool. However, that's it closed now until the end of May 2019. Hope to see you back...More

We're glad you enjoyed your swim and are sorry you found the changing rooms cool and old fashioned. There are heaters for use on cooler days and we would hope that, were these not in use, customers would ask staff to switch them on.
