Stonehaven has a long, pebble beach that is clean and quiet when I went there in October. It has a promenade with steps to the beach, an award winning fish and chip shop and award winning ice cream shop, also a cafe, toilets and free...More

Would not call it a beach. Its all stones and quite big ones. You are not allowed to take any off the beach. There is a path there though that you can walk. Has some interesting metal art along the way.

Visiting family in the area and stopped here for an afternoon walk. Lots of interesting stainless steel sculptures along the waterfront and a nice little harbour with places to eat and pubs.

A lovely walk tonight along the promenade. Great view of the sailing boats too. Nice and quiet and warm too.

A few steps away from Stonehaven caravan site and is perfect for early morning/last thing at dog walks.

This long sweep of a beach is covered with sizable pebbles, for much of its length, backed by grasses. Good for walking but I wouldn't fancy swimming there

The amenities in Stonehaven are very good, open air pool, clean beach, good local pubs and places to eat. Well recommended

Lots of sand in the harbour and shingle towards the open air pool. The wooden board walk is well maintained and stainless steel 'seaside' themed art dots the route. The burn is blocked by the shingle at low tide and gives a safe place for...More
