The lake is beautiful from a distance (when you see from the main road).
But, once you enter the location, the place is just so so. Ticket entrance is IDR 50.000/pax including entering phinisi resto and some playground spots near resto. But to reach that place, you must ride a boat which cost another IDR 30.000/pax.
And this details was not clearly explained by the officer when entering the main gate and pay for the tickets.
There are many small huts for visitors to take a rest and enjoying the view. But, inside the huts occupied already with the hawkers who sells noddle, coffee, etc. This make the place does not look nice.

After a trip to Kawah Putih, we went to Situ Patengan / Patengan Lake which is situated few kilometres away. It would be a great idea to include both of these attactions in your itenerary as both of these attraction are located on the south of Bandung. The lake has a beautiful sorroundings as it is surrounded with pine trees and tea plantation. As the lake is situated in the high grounds, the climate here quite cold.
If you're interested there are boats that would take you for a ride around the lake with a fee around RP150,000. From the boat ride you van visit the Baru Cinta/ Rock of Love. There is a local belief that your love story will be succesful if you and your couple go around this lake in the boat.
There are also stalls selling foods, drinks and souveniers here. In addition there will be peddlers selling fresh strawberry. At the end of the shop rows there is a small strawberry farm. If you come early you may get some strawberries that had just been harvested.
The downfall of this trip was there were a lot of rubbish left by the people, food package, empty mineral water bottle, cigarette butts and lots of graffiti on the rocks here. Its a shame for a place that has such natural beauty.

My family (2 adults and a teenage daughter) rented a Suzuki MPV (Rp550,000 for driver, vehicle and petrol) for a day and visited the lake. The following is a summary of our visit :
a) We visited the lake after Kawah Putih. The tea plantations on the way to the lake was impressive and "picture perfect" on a sunny day. Entrance fees was Rp28,000 for 3 pax and a vehicle (our local driver was given free entrance).
b) There are many stalls at the lake shore selling various items. We bought strawberry (largest available) at Rp20,000/kilo. The lake was beautiful and very photogenic. We did not take any of the boat to the "Love Island".
c) There is not much else to do and we spent about 1 hour relaxing, photo taking and enjoying the serene surrounding. The lake shore was littered with rubbish.

t's a beautiful lake but It is just a lake. Nothing less, but certainly nothing more. That's why we don't understand why they charge you IDR 135.000 (€ 9) per person. Comparing to other much better tourist attractions in Indonesia a visit to the lake is overpriced. And not just a bit.
+
You can take some nice pictures at the lake.
Furthermore there are some nice restaurants on the premises with great food. Mangga Linggih (not on tripadvisor) was our favourite.
-
Overpriced for a lake. The lake is nice but it has nothing special to offer.
Notes:
You can make a boat trip on the lake. There area also a few small shops on the premises.

The weather is super cool when the wind blow and it is very misty! Basically is a lake and there is some "lands" in the lake itself. You can take the boat to have a good view of this area, but you need to pay some fee. This place is about 15 minutes drive from the "Kawah Putih" and along the way you will see the "tea plantation farm". There is no entrance fee, but they do charge for "parking", the price is very cheap. so no worry. The locals selling souvenir is very expensive, you may want to get the souvenir somewhere else. emmm.. there are some stalls selling "pisang goreng (fried banana) and some local snacks.. We spent less than an hour at this place .. just to take some pictures and have a look at the place itself.

The lake is surrounded by the tea plantation farm, and the scenery is sooooooooooo nice when we look from the up hill... OMG, and the breeze make us lively! Boats are rented to go through the lakeside... A relaxing place to visit... The strawberries sold are so fresh and sweet! And we are able to get a packet of strawberry for only Rp 5,000... The snacks along the lake side is recommended too! Especially the fried banana and the friend tapioca... Slurp...

Views are ok but not much else around the lake. The entry price is NOT worth it, especially if you're a foreigner, as you would need to pay 10x a local. That is ridiculous, I really do not see what the entry fee is for, as you need to pay for parking once you're inside. Road and parking facility is terrible.

Yes, this really is just a lake. And unfortunately despite the ridiculous tourist entrance fee, they haven't bothered to clean up the rubbish, so you are paying for a lake with rubbish around. If you want to go and spend time having picnics in lakeside huts and buying things from the souvenir shops then this is for you. The weekend probably brings many people, but some atmosphere with it. There are boats to go out on the lake.

Natural lake quite spacious with a view of the tea gardens that lie on either side, coupled with the cool air around, make this place really reassuring.
