Windy place

Iceland land of waterfalls, river water everywhere, coming of the ice fields. Power of the rushing water great, nice pathway to walk.

Well worth a drive / trip to these spectacular falls. You can view them from 2 different levels. It does get busy with tour buses however you are able to appreciate the enormity of them.

There are no shortages of waterfalls in Iceland, and this is one of the more popular ones to visit. Every waterfall is beautiful in its own way, and Gullfoss is no different. It is a popular tourist attraction, so it may be on the busy side, but don't let that deter you. It's not necessary to spend a lot of... More

A Must See on a sunny or windy or rainy day. Make sure to walk the entire path to get many viewing points.

It was just some water, falling. Sure some of it rose as well, but it mostly just fell. 1/5 can't recommend.

Although it's not a super big waterfall, it's beautiful & pretty cool to walk behind the lower part. Not far off the road & easy to get close.

This is definitely one of the main tourist attractions in the Golden Circle of Iceland. This waterfall was massive. We happen to go on a wind storm day, so it was cold, and the water hitting us hurt because they felt like hail. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful waterfall, and I would still recommend seeing this. There are two levels... More

I have seen many waterfalls but this is dpecial because of the rainbow. A must see indeed. Also you can really get up close to the waterfall.

This was worth the visit, even though a trip around Iceland can feel like a tour of waterfalls. The staggered layers make it quite impressive and a beautiful site to witness. We also were lucky seeing it half frozen as it added a beautiful dimension to it.
