Living in Southend just half hours drive from Burnham and I had never been to Mangapps, what a mistake! Me, the grandchildren (11&14) and my wife, very much a non"railway"person, loved it. I won`t go into individual items, suffice to say that the rolling stock is...More

My wife and I took my grandsons 10& 8 there for the day. They enjoyed the railway exhibits and in particular they like the short to and fro trips on the train, I think they went 6 times. Plenty to see and the people running...More

We arrived at 12.15 in time for the first train and left at 5 as it was closing. Even then we did not manage to take everything in. The one or two people who said there is not much to see must have been somewhere...More

We live close to Mangapps, and had been meaning to visit for a while. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by how much there was to see, and how long we spent there. We must go back on a steam day!

ample parking. Entry ticket (for us, pensioners it was £7) includes a ride on the train. As the surrounding countryside was tinder dry, they used a diesel loco, but they did say they use a steam one on other occasions. I liked the original artwork,...More
