Visited in August as the museum area had been extended during lockdown. The new area is much larger and the many exhibits are much easier to see. There is also a whole signal box inside the museum, a steam loco, carriages, signals. a tube train and lots of smaller exhibits. Outside trains were running every hour taking you on a nice little trip down the hill to Old Heath Station where it’s possible to get off and walk back. On the day of my visit one of the diesel shunters was working the passenger trains but one of the large class 31 locomotives was also out on test. So much to see l, it’s great that the museum continues to expand.

Decided to come here as had heard about the place for many years but had never visited. Only open Wednesday and Saturday afternoons at present, sensible Covid precautions. There was a fair number of visitors which was good to see. There are an interesting and eclectic selection of exhibits including a large collection of signage. The line is only short so is worth going on a couple of times. No refreshments available, but plenty of grass for a picnic if you wish. Overall, an interesting little museum that is worth a visit.

Took two of our grandchildren to the Christmas Special at Mangapps Railway Museum - it was extremely well organised and the children had a great time. After the train ride they met with Father Christmas and each child received a present. Light refreshments were included in the price. And we had time to look at the museum which the boys found fascinating. Would recommend it.

I have just taken my family and grandchildren to see Father Christmas at Mangapps Manor and the ride on the steam train to see Father Christmas was great and the boys really enjoyed knowing about the steam trains and riding in one. The presents they got where very good and it was all well organised. They provided us with coffee/tea and cakes/biscuits/sweets in the price and as my family are veggies they provided that for them. Over all it was a great afternoon and looking around the museum was great. I must congratulate every on involved in making it a great day and experience. Loud go again next Christmas.
