Local pub/restaurant with character

Very pleasant for a weekday pub lunch and a couple of pints, not to busy good food, reasonably priced and good beer.

Recently reopened...why bother!! Not much stock empty shelves. Asked for non alcoholic beer or something don't stock it. Saturday night three people in the whole pub and think they were the managers family. TV really loud showing Ant & Dec, if I wanted to watch that and drink a coke i would have stayed at home.

I've not been to this pub for at least 30 years. It has changed quite a lot with good quality tables & chairs. The waitress arrived quickly with menu's and came back twice within 4 minutes to take our order. We were the only customers there as it was early 5.30pm. Not much atmosphere at that time. There wasn't a... More

Been here a few times, as I live locally. The staff are pretty good, the beers are well kept and we have never had a problem with the food. Always been fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Called here for lunch after visiting the Grange. We were not disappointed. Good selection of Pub Grub with a 2 for £!0 range which suited our requirements . It was nice and quiet in the room we went in, the welcome was friendly, the drinks were very reasonably priced and the food was served quickly and tasted very fresh.

We stopped going to the Biddulph Arms a couple of years ago as the service and food had gone into recline from what it used to be like for service food and ambience. Having heard it had been taken over recently we decided to give it another try. The service was average, in fact the bar staff we just leaning... More

Lovely food and made to feel very welcome by the landlords and staff. Wed was pie night for £5. Steak and ale pie was really tasty and lots of meat in it too! Homemade chips too yummy.

The love of my life and I went for a carvery this Sunday and went here because we were just driving by. It's not the largest selection that I've seen on a carvery 4 types of veg as well as three sorts of potatoes but they were all cooked quite nice. The meats that were on offer were Turkey, Beef...
