I visited Madhugiri fort on a weekend. One has to be bit careful as it is a single monolithic trek. Best one day trek for trekkers.

Monolith treks are just plain uphill mountains without trees or ups and downs like regular mountains. That makes the trek bit different and interesting. It would be around 4-4.5 k of height. Roads from Bangalore are just brilliant. Can also go by bus as it's...More

Madhugiri fort - One of the most mesmerising forts. It's too steep that once you look down, you skip a beat. Very adventurous one. Happy travelling!

Great one day trip for families who like less crowded places. It's in a state of neglect though it stands proudly as the second largest Asian monolith. Plan a visit on a less sunny day to keep going up,up and up! Recommended for anybody young...More

This monolithic hill is almost same height as savandurga(almost 4000 ft,) unlike savandurga they built a fort in Madhugiri. Don't get too excited by the word "Fort", now nothing is there some ruined walls, some compounds that's it. Climbing the hill is comparatively very easy,...More

No fees or entry charges. 6am is a good time to start and come back before it gets hot during noon in summer. Be safe and happy trekking.
