This was included in our Finland tour but don't know way we stopped here during wintertime. Too many animals were in hibernation and the water birds were inside in a small pool. I'm sure that during summer this is a splendid place to visit, maybe...More

We stayed at Holiday Village Gulo Gulo and visited the Zoo quite a few times as it was on the same sight. All the animals are well looked after in their own environment. We met the polar bears early morning and fed the arctic fox...More

Set in a snowy forest the caged and undated wildlife is spectacular. Red squirrels racing through the snow, crested tits giggling in the trees, woodpeckers create a perfect backdrop for the nature of the North, polar bears, beavers, otters, arctic foxes wonderful place ! There's...More

So different to walk around a zoo in the dark with a light on your head with the snow falling, just loved it. There wasn't anything the guide didn't know.

I am not normally a huge fan of Zoo’s, generally preferring to see animals in the wild or wildlife parks. But this place is different. The animals are mostly endanger and the breeding programmes are helping to maintain species. We were privileged to go on...More

I personally don’t like zoos but this one is very nice. You can see a lot of artic animals, come very close to them. It was interesting to see polar bears. Would highly recommend

An opportunity to observe the animals of the region largely in their natural environment. The zoo convinces with a good concept. Especially in the winter period a special experience.

The park itself is beautiful, set right in the midst of the arctic forest. I have written a full review as part of my review of Gulo Gulo holiday park, but to recap that: The selection of animals is really incredible, we were so surprised...More

Regular bus services are available, you can book online. It’s around 15€.. It’s around an hour travel, might cost a bit too much. When I was there, don’t find taxis around, unlike at the Santa Clause Village.

large enclosures and a whole route through several animals. Great variety especially for birds. of course some of them are behind glasses. Wild boars , wolves and the polar bears are really amazing.
