This is the best place to start a trip in Ternate. You can learn about the history of Ternate and his relationship with Portuguese, VOC and others. Unfortunately, the information inside is very limited and there is no real guide who can explain it.

Nice hotel only 7 minute from airport with great location. Good food. Good service big and clean room. They provide us free airport pick up service. RECOMMENDED THIS HOTEL FOR EVERY ONE

The Museum was located on the Ternate Palace. You can see the everything related to the history and real items of Ternate Sultanate. It is a nice place, but I think it can be better labeled. The collection is not large, but it is fulfilling...More

This Museum is not longer open to the public as the Sultan passed away. You cannot visit the next door Palace either,

The Ternate Sultan’s Palace is truly interesting. The sultanate has been in the hands of the same family since the 13th century. The Ternate airport is named for Sultan number 25. The most recent sultan, number 48, had died just a month before our visit....More
