Of course I could write my review about the stunning nature, the amazing crystal clear water and the adventure feeling to walk within 25 minutes from the parking place down to the beach. But while writing this review I’m still shocked what I have just experienced. After a beautiful day at this beautiful beach, we decided to stay over night at the local camping ground . For dinner we went to the restaurant close by. We ordered grilled seafood. What we received was basically a plate full of seafood garbage for 1500 lek (12€). I kindly asked the waiter what exactly I should eat on this plate and even more, how I should eat the garbage of mainly crabs. The restaurant manager then told me, this plate is not for filling my stomach. It’s just for sucking on pieces and enjoying the (in my eyes disgusting) taste. This I already found an quiet remarkable explanation. In favor of the manager I have to mention, that he brought us three additional grilled scampi and one octopus after our complaint. The most disgusting and shocking moment then happened minutes later. In front of guests of the camping ground exactly this restaurant manager cold blooded killed an rooster which was obviously not welcomed. I understand you might now say it’s just a rooster and you are in a kind of wild life camping ground. But the way the employees then bragged about the killing and how the rooster was thrown away in a black plastic back just leaves me shocked and disgusted by these people. I’m no vegetarian or vegan but I strongly believe every life deserves a minimum of respect. I’m having the deep desire to leave this place as soon as I can tomorrow morning. I will not even take the breakfast I have already paid. I never had such a deep desire to leave a holiday place like I’m feeling at the moment. If you’re a friend of wild life camping you might also be fine to throw your used toilet paper in an open trash pin as a sign over the toilet says “no paper in the toilets”. As this pin is was running over full of paper I immediately turned around and left this toilet. For the usage of such kind of toilets and the shower you’re charged 200 lek/ person. That the so called beds in the tent we rented were more like wooden boards is not worth mentioning as it was our decision (fault) to stay here over night on a short notice and we are not prepared for an camping holiday as it should usually be….

A beautiful beach but enjoyment of it totally spoilt by the blearing music and a boat arriving about every 10mins dropping a boatload of people off.
There is a car park at the top but the fee is unclear. The couple next to me were charged 200lek but I was asked to pay 300lek.

Starving baby pigs at the car park, long and VERY dusty way down to the beach. A lot of rubbish on the way down. We paid 20 euro for dirty sunbed at the front of the water, SEO bar restaurant is a joke, photos attached. We also ordered two sets of fries but we never got them, we just got bill for them. We were not charged at the end. What you see on the photo are grilled veg and meatballs. The way up was a real nightmare! I nearly died. Hot, dusty, dirty and long way up. Never again. The only good thing is that I gave some water to those piglets and some bread that I took from restaurant down. Animals in Albania is a horror that I will never forget!!!

Went to this beach as I heard it was a hidden gem, well maybe 5yrs ago it was.
Went by car and it’s a single paved road with passing places (not enough of them) down to the car park. You park up and pay 3lek then you got a 30 min walk over a unpaved track to get to the beach.
You finally get to the beach and the whole beach is taken by loungers, if like me you just wanna sit on a beach towel in your own little space then your be disappointed.
The beach isn’t even sand it’s crushed pebbles.
The rubbish is piled in corners which is awful.
There are a couple of bars to get drinks….
Safe to say this beach is no longer a hidden gem.

This is a great beach. It s a quick 15-20 minute walk from the parking area, although you can park higer up and hike a few kilometers through the canyon if you like. The walk to the beah is dotted with bunkers and surrounded by gorgeous views of the Adriatic. The beach itself is a pebble beach, so bringing water shoes may be helpful when walking around. But the water is warmish and pristine. The surrounding cliffs offer good shade, and a couple of bars and restaurants serve thirsty beach goers, as well as offer up some basic rental equipment like kayaks and standup paddle boards. I noticed lots of people were setting up tent and camping on the beach. For a less crowded, more down to earth beach exerience, this is a good spot

Far away from the pictures,
20€ for an umbrella and 2 rubbish seat
10€ for à umbrella alone

Lots of rubbish on the beach.

The walk to there is nice, but expect this, the beach itself is not better than the other.
Not talking about the people there

A lovely beach at the mouth of an impressive gorge. Unfortunately it is at the end of a 30 minute trek down from filthy car park, with the whole route strewn with plastic bottles and beer cans. The beach was little better. Sadly it seems that locals and visitors alike are determined to spoil all these Albanian beauty spots with their selfishness!

A beautiful beach - once. Because now it is trashed with huts that play loud party music and heaps of garbage in the canyon. There are tires, matrasses, barrels, plastic cans,... it is truly heartbreaking. The hike from the parking lot at the canyon rim is beautiful though. It is steep but has great views. Park at P1 (it is free of charge and the trail from there has more and better views than from P2). Do NOT drive all the way down to the seashore unless you have a true off-road car. The "road" from P2 on is... well... it is basically huge rocks and mud. We loved the view and the hike but we would not return before the horrible garbage problem is solved.

Gjipe Beach is very great beach.
It is public beach, you should take umbrella because theres no umbrellas to rent.

* i highly recommend to go with boat from Dhermi or Himara because the road is very bad. You should walk in mountain 30 minutes from parking place.

* Gjipe beach is must visit if you are near here.

* drinks are cheap dont take anything except umbrella.

We have visited Gjipe by car + walk. Walk is ok.. around 35min. The beach is full of camping tents and campers. If you enjoy laying next to pans, frying pans and etc.. you will appreciate. There is even a washing machine on the beach 👀
