Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went with a group of friends most of us staying 2 weeks others staying on the first or second week. 60 of us in all. We stayed at the Palas Hotel and all had a most enjoyable time.
There are lovely, easy, walks from the hotel along the sea front plus some slightly more hilly up overlooking the bay.
We found some lovely restaurants to eat at during our stay even though we were on full board.
The dining room at the hotel provided some excellent food. Beautiful fish for both lunch and dinner. Trout, Sea Bass, Sea Bream cooked very well. Plenty of meat dishes and salads.
The local buses get you to places not to far away. Budva was very interesting. Also Kotor plus the scenic drive entitled Montenegro Experience. One day we took the excursion to Albania. Well worth doing with beautiful scenery along the way.
I would go back to Petrovac as there is a lot to do there and it is not yet spoilt by tourism.

We have just arrived back in the UK after a week at the Hotel Olivia 5 minutes from the beach in the holiday resort of Petrovac, baby brother to Budva.. We were there in the last week of May so the beach was never crowded. The sea was sparkling and blue and clean. I have heard the resort gets very crowded in the summer but in May the place is delightful. You can stroll along the wide promenade. There is a good variety of shops and restaurants. The beach itself is very pebbly but somebody told me about 'magic shoes' so i purchased a pair. What a difference. We did a boat trip around the bay and we signed up for a day trip to Albania. I would happily spend a month in May in Petrovac, a charming, friendly family resort. I don't know many places I would willingly go to in August where everywhere is crowded. It might not have 5 star resorts but it's very adequate for modest budgets.

Horrible city; towing company 24/7. There is not enough parking, only outside the town and you can call a taxi. Tourists are not welcomed to Petrovac. City is very famous for towing your car, 106euro ticket, cash only.
Never plan to visit, you don’t need to circle around or wait hours to find a parking or to mislead you with P sign and town you. Never go to Petrovac, nothing to do or see.

Amazing beach in June as not too busy
Great beach, restaurant, cafe, bars, sea, and enough to do for a week.
Easy to walk from one side to other. No car to bother you.
All place so friendly.
Easy to travel around the coast.

Petrovac is very nice Adriatic place, but usually over crowd during summer season and that's reflects at Petrvovac beach which is long, across whole town sea side distance.
Because of this crowd of people, city services have to work hard and mostly they does not succeed in their mission.

Overated. The bay has a beautiful scenery but the beach is not clean at all and especially over crowded. I could not take a bath because of the dirty water. Too pity because in overall the bay is picturesque.

We went to the beach on a crowded day, it was not nice being there. There were lots of cigarette buds in the water and the stones are very painful to walk on.

The water is pure and clean. The worst thing is no sand. All the beach is stone and inside the sea many rocks. If you want to stay on the beach you need to rent umbrella and sunbed. The prices between 10-15 €.

The beach is a narrow city beach with hard sand with a sand with small pebbles. It is not so bad for feet, I was able to walk without slippers. In summer it is of course overcrowded. I suggest to come to paid area with sunbeds, you can take for 10 euros a set with 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella, a bit easier to find a place. There a lot of families with children because of better sand. I liked it more than for example Budva beach because its transparent water.
