If you are looking for one of the most beautiful beaches of Naxos, Agios Prokopios is definitely a must. This enchanting beach is distinguished by its golden sand mixed with fine gravel and crystal clear water that fades into an intense blue. It is the kind of beach that makes you feel immediately on holiday, with its relaxed but well-organized atmosphere.

The beach is divided between equipped areas and a small portion of free beach. However, if you want to enjoy maximum comfort, I would recommend choosing one of the many establishments that offer sun loungers and umbrellas. During the months of July and August, demand is very high, so booking in advance is essential. The first rows, very close to the sea, cost between 50 and 80 euros for a set of umbrellas and two sunbeds, while the rear rows offer slightly lower rates, between 30 and 50 euros. Some establishments require a compulsory drink, but there are also options where you only pay for umbrella rental.

Agios Prokopios is not only a beach, but a real center of activity. Local taverns and beach bars offer a wide choice of traditional Greek dishes and refreshing drinks. Whether it’s a quick lunch or a sunset dinner, you’ll always be spoilt for choice.

In conclusion, Agios Prokopios is a beach that combines natural beauty and high quality services, making it perfect for those who want to spend a relaxing day but with all the amenities at hand. I highly recommend visiting during your stay in Naxos.

I'm not sure why the Trip Advisor picture for this beautiful sandy beach shows rocks, but the beach is long, sandy, and filled with umbrellas. It has the clearest, cleanest feeling water I've ever swum in. The smooth sandy bottom extends into the water. The water is pretty calm and we bought pool noodles in town which were fun to float on.
The chair umbrella sets are run by each of the restaurants across the street from the beach. You can book ahead if you are dead set on a particular place. We showed up and found chairs at Kahlua. The food/drink service was excellent, because they place the order electronically and runners bring your food/drink order promptly. I also got a nice 25 euro massage from one on the Asian women offering massages.
In the middle of the beach, several hundred yards from the main access end, there's a large gap in the chairs before they start up again and extend towards the other end of the beach, so you need to bring your own chair or towel. But you don't need a bathing suit. There's ample social distancing and I highly recommend giving it a try, even for a few minutes. I found it very freeing, but be prepared for clothed beachgoers walking past and trying not to look every minute or so. There's a few other gaps where you can throw down a towel for free.

ent in June 2024, one day was baking hot, beautiful blue water and soft deep sand, lots of pretty sun beds to rent and plenty of places to eat. The same week on a different day is was quite breezy, the seas had an icy chill to it.

You do not have t eat in the restaurants to rent the beds but they charge you more if you don't buy food.

Avoid the place called Virtu with all the crochet/rope umbrellas, unless you want to pay 30 euros for a set. There are far fairer prices on the strip, 15-20 euros. We got a nice comfortable front row bed for 20 euros.

Fantastic beautiful clean beach with crystal clear sea which is excellent to swim in. Ideal for families with children. The beach does get busy but there are places to sun bathe if you don't want to use a sun bed. I take the point from previous contributors about the price of sun beds. Some are expensive however if you walk to the far end of the beach we found 2 beds and an umbrella for 15 euros. We'll worth it on this amazing beach.

The beach extends over a long stretch.
The water is magnificent: translucent with turquoise reflections.

The beach is clean but I won't give it 5 stars because it has fine sand.

It is also far from everything, and in low season, there are few restaurant choices (everything is relative.

For bus timetables: find out beforehand.

Agios Prokopios is a very nice destination and destination. It is a quieter place but during the days many guests get to the resort's beaches and fairly clear water. Here you will find everything you need, long nice beaches, restaurants and bars. The buses also often go both to Naxos town and to beaches further south. However, the beaches are quite crowded with people. There is also a very nice beach just after the southern cape.
We liked it here and would like to go back!

Beautiful beach, both in the equipped and free part. In the outermost areas there are rocks in areas accessible from the sandy bottom that allow pleasant snorkelling even with children. The costs of the equipped part are in line with the other beaches closest to Chora: 30 euros for two sunbeds and an umbrella. Parking quite crowded, but not impossible. Nearby beautiful “Laguna Beach” in the airport area among the salt lakes created by storms and evaporating from the hot summer sun. Very close further north the beach of Agias Anna. The saint of Agios Prokopios who gives his name to the resort and the beach has his own Orthodox church on the sea.

The beach of Agios Prokopios is one of the most beautiful equipped beaches of Naxos. A long beach of tiny pebbles and a crystal clear sea. Stretches of free beach alternate with equipped stretches where umbrellas and sun loungers are rented. Attention ask if the establishment also asks for mandatory minimum consumption because I noticed that many establishments, especially for umbrellas in the first rows, require it.

Agios Prokopios Beach, located on Naxos, is widely praised for its beautiful turquoise waters and fine, golden sand. It's a family-friendly beach with a laid-back atmosphere and plenty of amenities, making it one of the most popular beaches on the island. The sand here has a unique texture that is soft yet doesn't stick, so it's comfortable to walk on and less messy to clean up after a day at the beach.

The water is crystal clear and has a refreshing, slightly cool temperature, perfect for swimming and water activities like snorkeling and diving. The beach is also known for being less crowded than other popular Greek destinations.

Fine sandy beach. Very long beach with water that slowly enters the sea. Beautiful sea. Beach at times organized and others free. Organized costs from 30 to 50 Euro per day umbrella and two sunbeds. Behind the beach many restaurants. to see and stay for a whole day. Better arrive at 10 am that there is no one.... Recommendation to Park at the bottom towards the Flamingo Beach area.
