Beautiful old building that has survived the changing times.

This is near the centre of Karakol and easy access on foot from the central bazaar. It was closed during Soviet times but reopened and the bells and icons returned for it to return to its former function as a Russian Orthodox centre of worship. Its wooden structure gives contrasting colours to the trees and surroundings and it is good to follow local traditions when entering. Just be respectful of local practices and appreciate this place.
