It feels like the whole town come to hang out here around 4 everyday I been here so far. They have people selling food all day long for a very reasonable price (though it may be expensive for the citizens here) there is what seems like a pop up bike rental, a good ice cream shop across the street, and... A stop on our cruise. People were friendly. this boardwalk area was well keep. Sights to the bay were beautiful. The down side is that the town didn't seem ready or able to handle a couple of thousand guests. There didn't seem to be too much to do or see. Not even many restaurants or bars close by. I think... Samana has so much beauty in every direction. You have to visit the beaches , Samana town and Malecon. So much to see and do.

Walked every morning on the malacon beautiful area to sit and watch everything happening in the town. Watching the boats go to the islands to the kids going to school. Workers within the town always around making sure the area is always kept clean and tidy. The locals would always meet at the malecon they would always be very friendly... More

The malecon in Samaná could be quite lovely if they would just clean up the beach below and get the bar owners across the street to tone down the loud music at night. Although about half of the street lights are not working, it is nevertheless safe to walk at night and lots of locals and their famlies are out... More

This malecon is designed with love and really in good shape. The accurately cut trees put a nice frame towards the view on the bridges connecting the small islands on the other side of the harbour. We liked this tiny tidy road with the colourful houses facing the harbour.

Walking the malecon was a good diversion from Cayo Levantado while we decided what to do on the mainland. There are some pretty views, but not a lot to do in town.
