We went out for May long weekend and had noticed the levels of the water were quite a bit down from previous year. Changes the beauty of it quite a bit. Also many vehicles/campers were down and on the lake bed which is not unusual.
Absolutely beautiful winter road trip . There is not many lakes like that one , and specially so close to the city . It sure is 3.5h drive but the roads were clear and the weather was just perfect for that .

The famous methane frozen bubbles are out go out and see them you wont be dissapointed!!! We went skating and hiking on a day trip!
Roads were good and lake was crystal clear could see all the way down to the bottom!
