This is so dramatic. We parked in the parking area at the top of the falls and walked downhill to the viewing area. You look down over the falls into the ravine. We then walked alongside the river and checked out the camping areas for...More

Let’s start with what I didn’t like: signage. As they are non existent. I would understand that Clearwater County would like to keep it as preserved as possible, but not even one sign on David Thompson Highway that would indicate where to turn is just...More

Long drive but its worth it. Great experience for us. Camping was awesome. Scary to go down the falls though but will surely recommend.

A nice spot to go for a drive, you can park and walk 100 meters to the falls. Good day camping. Poor signage off the highway. Turn right at the Bighorn gas station.

The sites that are creekside are amazing. Our boys caught a few fish with the fly rods there too. The campground itself is just fine. There are pit toilets (2 sets for the entire campground) and a pump for non-potable water. Bring your own drinking...More

Small peaceful rustic campground that runs along the creek. No hook ups which is fine. $32 a night seems a bit steep for this no frills campground. I imagine this rate is more compared to other campgrounds nearby because you get free firewood?

We headed to the falls on August long. The hike is from the first viewpoint you see all the way to Crescent Falls. If you don't want to do the hike and just want to do the falls, you can drive to a parking area....More
