Took advantage of a (rare) sunny day to check out the ‘Stairway to Heaven’. Lovely walk with a gradual ascent. Depending on your pace a round trip could take 3-4hours. The carpark was £5/€6. Just watch where you step as sheep roam freely! Right next...More
Went up on a very hot day. Very disappointed to see how careless and thoughtless people were discarding their water bottles and crisp papers. My friend and I did a clean up at the top and on the way down. Lack of waste bins and...More
My wife and I did a short walk in terrible weather so probably not the best review but if you go and are looking for an easy walk then ask the person at the 1st carpark to check and see if there is room at...More
The boardwalk which takes you to near the summit of Cuilcagh Mountain is a fabulous addition to this area of Fermanagh. It must be said that there is a fair trek from the car park to the beginning of the wooden boardwalk. The walk is...More
WOW !!!! What a trek ! Knew this was going to be hard, but did not think it was going to be as tough. I think the worst part was the gravel track.kept looking for the steps up the mountain, walked and walked and they...More

I think the best place to park is at the marble arch carpark. It's free!! Maybe adds an extra 20 minutes onto your walk, but the walk and carpark both free!! There are two carparks nearer the actual walk which the guy... More
I think the best place to park is at the marble arch carpark. It's free!! Maybe adds an extra 20 minutes onto your walk, but the walk and carpark both free!! There are two carparks nearer the actual walk which the guy charges £5/€6 for, but I just dandered across from marble arch and it was grand! Enjoy your walk!!😊

Its hard to say without knowing the person but if the fitness is there then they will probably be fine, however the only thing I would caution is this is a uphill mountain walk, so you are walking upwards the entire time and when you do start climbing up the steps some are some steep steps so it's tough on the legs, especially the knees. I'm 33, fairly fit and even I found it tough on my legs going up and coming down. Hope this helps !
