If you will travel to Kyrgyzstan, I recommended to go to Issyk kul lake. The north part is touristic but south is less. In south part. The water in this lake is clean and good to swim.

The greatest chance to feel the mountainious nature! Clear water is able to swim. Take a day trip around the lake to see natural sightseeng, try national cuisine, take nice pictures. Cheap.

Most of the hotels have a jetty. But boat rides only in season. You need to check. Easiest is from balychk
