Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If in Şirince, definitely go and have a look but don't make the trip JUST FOR the church. It's an empty skeleton of a church with a handful of paintings. Nice views of the hills from the top.

this is beautiful and preserved so well. You are permitted photo's and there is a fountain outside to throw in a lira or two and make a wish.

We didn't get proper information as to why it was closed but it is a good spot to take some scenic photos of Sirince.

A nice church, illumination is fine, cool, hosting a photo exhibition, there is a wishing pool outside. I wish to see an information board for the church.

this is the gutted skeleton of an old church building. It does seem to have great acoustics. If you're walking around Sirince anyway, it's worth stopping in...but definitely not worth a special trip

This is a simple quiet church of Greek Orthodox origins at the top of the village. Worth the climb up the narrow cobbled lanes.

The stone streets are narrow and filled with neat shops, but they lead up to the church which is still used some today. It is free to enter and there is a wishing well outside.

Visited Sirince on a family trip and found it to be very vibrant. The streets were full of visitors and residence and the shop were inviting. Hiked through the city all the way up to St. John The Baptist Church at the top of the village. It was a wonderful experience learning the history of this special village and the reason for the Christian church at the top of the hill in a predominately muslim country. The walk up to the church was pretty steep on the stone avenue but much more difficult on the way down. All in all a wonderful experience.
