The cathedral itself is nice and has interesting history. However, the whole experience felt a bit touristy, with the light show and other 'attractions'. The movie was educational and I actually liked it, though some others in my group said it was tacky. We took...More

The Salt Cathedral is such a beautiful place where religion, art, and history collide. Regardless of your religion anybody can appreciate the beauty and effort put into this cathedral

I found this place a good place to visit as something a bit different - crosses & a cathedral in a salt mine. My husband got a bit bored by it. The entrance ticket of 50000 COP includes a 1 hour guided tour (english or...More

A wonderful work of engineering and Mining that takes you through a wonderful tour of Christian Modern Art and and the way of people expressing closeness to God. A 1 km walk down and 1 km walk up in salt tunnels

You can take this Tour in English or Spanish. Their guides are truly dedicated and proud of this "attraction". It's spiritual in nature only because of the efforts by the miners who believe in Catholism and it was their safety net to go home safely...More

I have never traveled by bus since I have family here, so I do not know. What I know is that you will need to travel to Zipaquira by bus from the North Terminal in Bogota (Intermunicipal) and then hike to the cathedral or... More
