One of many fortified churches in Transylvania. The covered staircase leading to the main church on the hill promises something extra ordinary. Unfortunately there is a lot of work to be done in order to make the place more visitor friendly.

The church interior is very interesting, but there is not much more to see. The towers were not accessible and no exhibition besides some ancient grave stone covers. Too expensive for what was presented. Try the church in Viscri instead.
As were driving on the 14 main road, seen the tourist table faced to Biertan we decided to make a store here and give a chance for a visit and we got more the we expected.

Hi, called the local priest, Ulf Ziegler and I found out that the bell is not ringing for the time being, due to restoration process. It will take some time to be back in use (probably next year). I'll keep you posted.
