About
The elegant Fish & Olive gallery was opened in 2006 by Mrs Niki Goulandris. Here, the hand-made ceramics and jewellery of Katharina Bolesch and Alexander Reichardt are displayed to their greatest effect. As well as the exclusive work of these accomplished artists, the gallery also presents paintings, etchings gouaches andaquarelles by national and international artists as well as lithographs by Fish & Olive Creations, lamps and sculptures in Naxian marble and unique olive tree sculptures in metal. FISH & OLIVE ART OF THE AEGEAN The boutique outlet for the Fish & Olive brand is located at the heart of Halki a few steps away from the Fish & Olive Gallery. The boutique stocks the exclusive ceramics of Katharina Bolesch and the jewellery of Alexander Reichardt. Also available are exclusive olive wood products as well as finest quality cotton T-shirts and cookery aprons featuring Fish & Olive design motifs. The boutique is also the exclusive outlet in the Cyclades for the award-winning extra-virgin olive oil produced by the Mercouri family from their biodynamic olive groves in the Peloponnese. INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITIONS INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITIONS The work of Fish & Olive Creations is celebrated worldwide. The latest news is that Fish & Olive will have major exposure this year (2017) at one of the world's great aquarium and exhibition centres, The Deep, in the UK city of Hull, which is this year's UK City of Culture. Alexander has been selected as one of six artists each of whose work will be exhibited for a two-month period throughout the year in a celebration of the world's oceans and marine environment. The year will culminate with Alexander's exhibition in November/December 2017. The works of Fish & Olive were exhibited, in January 2013, at the National Art Center in Tokyo, representing Greece. In 2007, a major exhibition of Katharina's work was staged at the Design Museum (iittala Group, Arabia Museum) in Helsinki. Katharina's ceramics were displayed at the Academy of Athens during the 2004 Olympic Games and have been featured at the United Nations in New York. Alexander's work has close associations with the Goulandris Natural History Museum in Athens and the prestigious Cretaquarium.

- Loren B1 contributionWonderful people, wonderful artWe had the pleasure of visiting the studio this summer and it was amazing. All of the artwork and ceramics were just so well done. What was truly the best though were the people in the studio! Both the owners and the gallery manager were the real prize of visiting. They were some of the kindest people we have ever met. We purchased prints, towels, and tableware. We get SO MANY complements every time we have guests over it. I can't recommend coming here enough!Visited August 2022Written 11 December 2022
- Warren B2 contributionsStunningly beautiful art, wonderful artists. We visited Naxos with a tour group and took a bus up to Halki for the amazing scenery and a beautiful walk. Afterwards we wandered around the charming little village and came upon Fish and Olives gallery. I am a professional scuba diver and an amateur ceramic artist and I was awestruck with the fabulous artwork in this gallery. We spent over an hour talking with Alexander and Katherina about their art and purchased a beautiful ceramic piece as well as a wonderful table runner and some jewelry. It was an unforgettable experience and a highlight of our trip.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 June 2023
- Julia2 contributionsWorld-Class GalleryThis gallery is world-class! Everything is made with intention and so well done. We loved our one on one time with Pepi who showed us around the gallery and talked about how the pieces were made. This is a not to be rushed experience. Everything is part of a limited edition so you are sure to walk away with something special. We are so proud to have a print and a ceramic sculpture from Fish & Olive to remind us of our magical week on the isle of Naxos. Read up on the history of Halki and the transformation of this building and studio. It's fascinating! This is a great place to start or build your art collection.Visited June 2023Written 24 July 2023
- gillianinfrance10 contributionsBeautiful museum-quality pieces in Naxos galleryI read about this beautiful gallery on a blog and prioritized it during our stay in Naxos. Everything is beautiful, and museum-quality. Simply exquisite pieces ranging from unique olive tree sculptures in metal to prints to lamps. We bought an olive tree sculpture and had it shipped to our home in France. It was perfectly packed and reached us very quickly. The owner was very kind and responsive to questions. I can't recommend it enough!Visited June 2023Written 19 August 2023

Not only because of the exceptional work by Katerina and Alexander, but also because of the special presentations in rooms full of wonderful light, peace and contemplation. In our too noisy world out there, I've been looking forward to coming here for many years, and since last year I've been particularly happy to be advised by the wonderfully warm Pepi, which piece of jewelery I will choose this time. I say at the end of the journey: sadly out of sight again for a long time, but a whole year in mind with my olive tree talisman from Fish olives.Visited September 2023Travelled soloWritten 5 September 2023
- LesleyWorld1 contributionPricingWhat a shame you don't share the price on all of your beautiful exhibits. This is one of the main reasons that I dislike the pompousness of art galleries They pretend to be above all this - that mere money transactions are beneath them and they and you foster an off putting sense of exclusivity which seems to purposely shut out the masses who surely can't afford to purchase such good taste ?? When actually galleries are also shops engaged in financial transactions to make a living - so why not let us mere mortals know how much money we have to part with or save to own one of your beautiful objects. Otherwise stunning work and a beautiful shop - well done you two. LesleyVisited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 September 2023
- ProfChristchurch, United Kingdom4 contributionsA little oasisWe were just looking around and saw this small gallery and decided to look in. A place to look, reflect and distance yourself from the outside world. Not an extensive selection of work but well selected, interesting and very high quality with a good story behind it all. We couldn't see all of the display because some was reserved for selected groups, which was a shame but how nice to mingle with the artist whose work we bought and who was very approachable.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 September 2023

The gallery is beautiful displaying a selection of the unique works crafted by Alex and Cathy. Meeting Alex, Cathy snd their assistant added to the experience and my only regret is not purchasing more of their unique creations disputing visiting the gallery twice . We will with out re visit in the future where we look forward to viewing and having the opportunity to collect more of their works . On vacation we came across Fish and Olive Gallery and were totally impressed. The material on display, and the sales professional, were above and beyond. We purchased 2 prints and had them shipped to our home in Burlington Ont., Canada. Everything worked out perfectly, and the print has been hung, and it looks fantastic. Thanks to Pepi for all her help and the great service that we received.

Absolutely beautiful store. Their artwork for sale is lovely. If I could have, I would have bought everything. They also have beautiful jewelry, which I had to purchase. It was one of my favorite stores on Naxos. Also, the owners and employees were very nice and helpful. Do not pass up the opportunity to shop here.

Is it possible to order online or from a catalog and have it shipped?

Hi Lisa, for sure they send by post. Most people who buy during their ravel ask them to post their stuff home. But there is no catalgue, what you can do, as already mentioned by other use, you can ask them to make something for you and then they send it to you. Anything they make is absolutely beautiful and unique, so you don't need to worry about the result!
