You can spend a day just having fun, or just chilling.
Always like to visit the attractions in the area, when on holiday here in France, Chateau de Bridoire did not disappoint. Parking easy, and small walk to the entrance, we decided to do the Chateau and the Labyrinth trail, through the woods. Straight away you are met with a area of games, from bow and arrow practice, to knocking ducks off walls, to be honest as 3 adults, we had not had such fun for ages, yes it is designed for adults and children alike. We spent way too long having fun, as the area had so many fun games and puzzles. The Chateau was a delight to walk around, with lots of information, regarding the restoration by the Guyot family, who live in the Chateau. Lots to see, and more puzzles to play....Loved that so many rooms available to view. With a quick stop at the cafe for refreshments, we ventured into The labyrinth with puzzle paper in hand, English version available. The trail is marked, there are rivers, caves to check out, which will help you solve The Labyrinth. We took a while to get into it, but once we knew what to see and find, we really enjoyed the challenge. Bare in mind, the trail is rustic, and hilly at times, with puzzles to match the surroundings, adults and children will enjoy the trail, even if your not puzzle minded. Thanks to the Guyot family for making an attraction that caters for the whole family to learn and have fun, old and young alike.

    Great fun for whole family
This was a brilliant day out the whole family enjoyed. We did the labyrinth sporty route which took us across rivers, rope bridges, in caves and through forest. Loads of clue points to find and easily to work out in English. You get an English version to complete and kids get a lollipop on completion. The staff were so friendly and spoke so many languages. The drinks were all locally sourced and delicious after the labyrinth. The castle games were way too much fun! We had such a laugh and really enjoyed the afternoon. Worth every penny! Parking very easy and large area, easily signed from main road.

    Fun for all the family
A family visited this month with a two adults a three-year-old and a five-year-old. We paid to do the lawn games and the Château tour. The lawn games are the best part of the day with such a variety and a real insight into different forms of entertainment throughout the ages. We struggled to get the kids away from the lawn games because they were so much fun The Château tour itself was very interesting with cakes in the kitchen a peek inside the prison and lots of fun things to do upstairs All in all a good day out, however we did not do the labyrinth Trail because it takes apparently an hour and a half and you need good shoes

    Great day out
Great places for families. Lots of games and entertainment at the grounds. The building is great with avariery of room and objects on show. Staff are great. Good sandwiches. The labyrinth is more of a hiking trail so bring appropriate footwear.

Whilst the château is certainly beautiful, on the day we visited the stables were an absolute disgrace! The horses and ponies had been left to stand in their own urine and droppings and were clearly in distress. We could see no signs of food or water in there and it was 32C. I found a member of staff and raised my concerns and his response was blasé at best - he said the horses were let out into the fields at night and the stables would be cleaned in the morning (it was 4pm when I spoke with him). It was evident from the state of the stables they hadn't been cleaned in days and the horses hadn't been attended to either with most of their hooves caked in urine-sodden straw. This came at the end of our visit when we were already concerned about the rabbits we'd seen which had large clumps of fur missing.

Please don't give your money to any place that doesn't make the welfare of their animals their top priority!

A visit here is well worth it if you are in the area! We were staying just up the road so couldn't leave without a trip there!
I honestly wasn't sure how it would go with teenagers but they honestly really enjoyed it!
The highlight for us was the Labyrinth! It was great fun trying to work out all the clues & complete it.
The medieval games in the Chateau grounds were also good fun! It was nice to spend some time doing something a little different!
We also had a wander around the chateau. We spent around 3.5/4 hours here & if we hadn't of been so tired from the labyrinth we would have spent longer!

The Chateau essentially has three parts to it, the main house along with the front lawn that has loads of wooden games for kids and adults to play. Then there is an Mysterious Valley that has a walk that apparently takes up to 2 hours where you are given a sheet of paper and you go and find clues, we didn't do the walk as it was warm and the kids were already moaning.

The house and games cost 9.50 per adult , 7.50 for 11-18 year olds and 6.50 for 4-10 year olds. The walk costs 7.00 per adult , 6.00 for 11-18 year olds and 5.00 for 4-10 year olds. If you buy a joint ticket for both then you can save a couple of euros on the overall price. There is plenty of parking in a field opposite the entrance and if you arrive early there are some trees at the end that will give your car shade all day.

After arriving at the entrance you go through to the lawn area where there are absolutely loads of lovely wooden games for both adults and kids, we must've spend a good 90 minutes just out here playing on all the games. There is a great mixture for all ages and lots of the games are under the shade of trees which makes it good on a hot day. We would've stayed longer playing out here but it was a hot day and around lunchtime and we found some shade under a tree and had our packed lunch, there are some picnic tables near the entrance but they were all taken.

Inside the castle there are toilets, a small cafe that does a small selection of food and drink and some nice (but expensive) ice creams that appeared to be home-made. There are just five standard flavours of ice-cream and all appeared to have dark chocolate on them, they were delicious but maybe not too all young persons taste. We then explored the house and there are loads more games dotted around the house along with some stables that contained horses and rabbits. A welcome visit into the lovely cool cellar and jail on the hot day meant we stayed in there slightly longer than we would've normally.

There is a really interesting story to the house so it is well worth reading the information boards that are in both French and English. The Chateau is not to a 'National Trust standard' but then it has only been with the current owners for the last 8 years who have done an amazing job renovating it after years of neglect. Overall I would certainly recommend visiting here, especially with children, as there is so much to see and do and the games are just a lovely and simple way to keep them amused.

We liked the outdoor entertainment and picnic area - also the fact you could buy your picnic food att he chateau. It is still being renovated so it is a work in progress. The works that have been completed are really good.

We are a family of 4 (6&3 Yr old). We visited from 11-3pm on a Friday. The park was easy to find and there is amply parking in a grass field. The entrance is accessible to wheelchairs and easy under foot. We selected just a tour of the castle and the play area outside. We paid c€25 for the ticket and got good advice from the cashier in English. The play area sits in front of the castle in a large field. The games are all creative; wooden, fun and with full instructions. We played for hours on all of them; the lids loved them. There is shelter, and deck chairs around if you want to laze around. Inside the castle, there is a small cafe; we had a cheese and ham salad baguette for €5, and a few cold drinks. There are free roaming rabbits and chickens, and horses in stables to see. There are accessible and clean toilets inside. The castle has been renovated to a lovely standard, and there are storyboards telling you how they did it. Nearly all of the rooms have additional games for the kids to play on. We didn’t do the labyrinth walk, so can’t comment on how good it is. Overall, it was a great day, and the children loved it. Good value for money, and we’d definitely go again.

We went here with our 7 and 11 year old and absolutely loved it. The whole place is filled with interactive games that are as much fun for adults as young kids. This place is small enough to feel accessible but large enough to warrant a half day as a minimum. The quiche from the cafe was amazing and well priced.

What an entertaining place! We have 3 kids; 13, 11 and 9, they loved it!
We bought a ticket that allowed us entrance to the chateaux and the Valley of Mystery ( a treasure hunt through the woods), money well spent. Aside from the beautiful chateaux there is an amazing array of activities to try, in the grounds and within the chateaux. There is also picnic tables if you have brought your own lunch. We didn't bring our own lunch and ordered 5 Oranginas and 5 cheese sandwiches, all for 30 Euros. The cheese sandwiches were massive, about 1/3 of a baguette full of Emental.
We then went to the Valley of mystery which is brilliant. It is essentially a woodland walk with a difference. Find all the markets and do the challenges along the way. This isn't suitable for buggies or very small children but my kids loved it and were fully able to take part. Half decent shoes are recommended and by that I mean trainers and not flip-flops, however if you forget you can buy espadrilles for €5.
I haven't mentioned how helpful the staff were and thankfully for us their English as excellent. You could easily spend a whole day here. We spent €77 which is around £48 for entry to both activities with lunch for 5. Highly recommend!
