The quality of the tuition on these Lotus driving license courses is second to none. For me, it was not about thrills and speed but more about skill acquisition and the course did not disappoint. Such an enjoyable day with a nice bunch of people. I feel I have learnt a lot. Thank you.

I have just completed the Lotus licence Carbon Edition, and I only wish I had taken the opportunity much earlier, as the standard of coaching from the instructors was faultless, from the very onset their manner, approach and sense of humour put you at ease, and enable you to learn in a progressive, structured programme over a 4 day course. The morning and afternoon briefings delivered by Rob were clear and concise during the course of the day, and the in car coaching, advice and the racing tales and jokes from my instructor Martin, were wonderful. I have no hesitation in recommending this driving course wholeheartedly to anyone who is contemplating whether to commit.

Just had our 4th visit to the Lotus Driving Academy - this time for the Lotus Silver License. As always an absolutely fantastic day and great value for money (just think about the cost of car hire, tyres, brakes, helmet hire, private tuition and a near private race track). Excellent balance of fun and education with lots of time in the car with properly skilled drivers that take time and personalise every part of the day (we spent a bit of time with ex Formula 1 driver Martin Donnelly which was cool). Obviously great for Lotus fans and owners but also good for anyone looking to improve their knowledge and skill behind the wheel. Can’t wait to see how the academy evolves with the introduction of Emira next year.

I can't really add much more to extoll how good the experience was since others here have already done that.. If you're still not sure however, then try to imagine how much fun it will be - and then add a few multipliers... Yes, the car is fabulous, yes the instruction (if you listen "properly" and act accordingly) is fabulous, but the whole day is elevated by the staff from the moment you get there.. Cheeful banter allround with some skillfull mockery of shiny new shoes (in my defense they had been worn twice before, but still looked new), makes the day more memorable and with a much better appreciation of what it took to get to where you were that day. Notable shout to Guy who didn't lose his voice despite 2 rounds of tours (!) but who's personality and delivery of the classic team lotus visit and the factory tour presentation made it much, much more memorable. In fact i would argue that the "presentation" is a far more effective way to deliver the insight as it allows for much better dialogue between viewers and presenter, plus i could enjoy a brew and a sit down while someone else did the work! (Thanks Guy - top job) My Instructor, Dave was polite, reassuring, and clearly had a mountain of information that he was always willing to share, and I particularly like his polite "elbow nudge" maneuvre to prevent me touching the gear lever. As the day progressed he became rather quiet - if this happens, then simply keep doing what you're doing - if there's nothing to say then he won't distract you, he'll just enjoy the ride with you... Dave - i'd pick you again in a instant... Meeting other keen pupils (we are there to learn after all) was also fun, with such a diverse array of individuals and couples as you could imagine from all around the globe - all sharing the same thing for one special day..(or 3, or 4).. You will enjoy it, you will learn from it, and you will want to do it again.. It definitely makes Lotus ownership more personal and understanding the car's dynamics helps you to unlock and enjoy it's huge potential. Nice work chaps.. The front of the class is that way...
