Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great circular path with fantastic views of the falls. Keep going at the top to find the stone circle. Stunning views.x

A short circular walk up to the falls. It’s short but a step climb on quite a rough path that might not suit everyone, but worth the effort. There are a couple of viewing platforms at the top and you can walk down the other side back to Achaean.

Fantastic place. An easy walk for me but a friend found it a little steep, it took about 45 minutes and was serene and lovely 😊

Probably one of the most beautiful waterfalls we’ve visited. Roadside parking in Acharn, then follow the finger posts and path to get to the falls (make sure to go through the hermits cave). Truly spectacular (although that might of been due to the amount of rain in the weeks before!).

One of the highlights of our trip, a must visit.

We climbed up steep walkway only to find the falls have been diverted to a hydro station so were only a mere trickle - so disappointing 😞 could have put a sign at the bottom advising of this

Relatively short walk, really interesting for the children because of the cave and rock formations. It’s a shame the water from the main falls has been diverted to the power station. Still well worth the visit though

A bit of a hidden gem for us, we hadn’t planned on going but we were nearby and wanted to find another waterfall… short in terms of distance from parking area but quite steep up a stony path if you have mobility problems.
Because we hadn’t planned our visit we had no idea the cave opened out on to an amazing viewing platform which was very special.
We went down the path which cuts off the top loop of the path and takes you to some pools cut into the stone

Steep walk up a rocky path, go all the way through the hermit’s cave to see the view of the waterfall. It’s pitch black so have your torch ready, there is a step down. Out and up, just around the corner brings you to the another view point and first bridge to get to the other side. Back down through the trees. I’m sure this is amazing waterfalls after there has been some rain, but was lacking when we went. Took about an hour and was 2.2 km long.

Could be very impressive, but they have diverted the water down to a hydro power station.
A tiny trickle down the waterfall but the water appears out the power station at the bottom. Tourist attraction ruined.

This is a short walk (we did it with three small kids, 2, 5 and 8) in about one hour. It is steep up to the hermit’s cave but really easy to follow and the initial waterfall and later falls are so impressive. Don’t miss this - just down the road from the Crannog Centre. Don’t drive back towards Killin on this side of the Loch - the road is very narrow. Just go back to Kenmore and drive along the wider and faster road at the other side!
