Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This mural is further up King Street than TripAdvisor currently shows. It is on the side of a building on the Northside of the street, directly north of Newtown train station. The mural itself is substantial in size and covers the entire side of the building.

If you want a place to say you have been to Sydney this one fills a few boxes. It’s not hard to find and pretty central

A great tribute to Martin Luther King and such an iconic landmark in Newtown! Created back in August 1991, it has since been heritage listed by the local council. I think it also serves as a great reminder of equality and taking care of the environment we live in!

I was determined to find this mural. I had heard about it and seen photos and the Coldplay video it featured in so was really excited! Unfortunately, there were some people selling strange items such as handmade string bracelets and fake silver rings and plastic sunglasses. It really devalued the mural and even when I tried to take a photo they were trying to get me to there 'stall' (some baskets etc, not a professional setup). I guess they know this is a popular spot where people stop and they're trying to make money from that. Nevertheless, the art itself is beautiful.

Once I saw this mural, it was my mission to find it, stand there and feel the Love! I did! This was such a beautiful experience. Newtown is a very easy rail ride from Sydney. Its an artsy vibe as soon as you exit the train station. We pulled out the Google Maps and walked a few blocks and there it was! We enjoyed a delicious healthy meal at "dr Earth" restaurant next door. I hope to return and explore the city more. I loved this experience and what this mural represents!

I saw this walking out of the Thai restaurant (see reviews) - was amazing to see a piece of home that is so important in our history.

This mural in Newtown is very easy to find and is a nice way to honour a great man. The sentiments and power of his message has not diminished over the years and today is probably more relevant than ever.

Great quote by a great man. Changed history even though a tragedy how it ended up.
Some traditional native aboriginal art.
