It's about 360 kms from Bangalore. The roads are very nice. This church was demolished during Tippu sultan times and was rebuilt. It's more 200 years old. The old church is behind & the new one is in the front. The majestic front is mesmerising. Recently this is elevated to minor basilica. This August is the conscrecration. Be get &... More

Building is beautiful but it has exploited the forest area where it has been built. I doubt the motto of making such a big church in a forest. Also from where they get budget for this. Might be they are getting funding from abroad .

This is the church where the famous St Lawrence festival is celebrated in January every year. The church is beautiful and it is serene and calm inside. There is a holy statue where you can pray and offer your intentions as well as offerings. There is also a miraculous pond.

It s about 30 min drive from Manipal. The architecture of the place is unique. The tall towers can be seen from distant. The place looks secluded but one can get immense peace far from the urban crowd. We visited it on Sunday just before the mass, not much people were there. There is a miraculous pond within the premises, the... More

Pray with full faith and it will come true. I bear testimony to this. I had prayed 2 years back at St Lawrence church and my wish did come true. Its a beautiful church and just makes you relax and forget all your worries. Leave them with God.

St. Lawrence church has been attracting people from all religions for several years. It is believed that by praying here, your prayers will be answered. If you want to avoid the crowds, don't go during the feast of St. Lawrence which falls in the 3rd week of January
