We have just recently returned from the Looe, Polperro, Mevagissy, Charlestown and Newquay trip and stayed at the Portbyhan hotel in Looe.
The courier was Denise and the driver was Lee. They were both really friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The hotel was great and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. It was clean and modern and had a rooftop bar area. I am glad we upgraded to a harbour view as we had such a picturesque outlook from our window, especially at night with the lights twinkling around the harbour. Breakfast was a buffet service and each morning a set menu was provided to pre-order your evening meal. The food was very good too, great dinner choices including monkfish, sea bream and pork belly.
Looe was a lovely place to stay. The trip to Polperro was quite awkward for the less mobile as the shuttle bus had stopped running from the harbour to the village centre. Charlestown was really lovely and was my second favourite place to visit, Looe being my favourite.

Newquay. Never been to Cornwall. Trusting Kirbys as we do I thought I would give them the chance to show me what's on offer.
We had a wonderful time with Karen as our guide. And Dave our driver who both worked hard to make our trip rememberable.

On saturday 8th october 2022 I wish to say what a great day we had at Call the Midwife tour at Chatham dock.so much to see and do.The driver Dave was really good very friendly and made everyone on the coach happy.We will be taking more tors with kirby,s coaches.Thank you so very much david and diana Riley x

Kirby’s has a very good and well earned reputation in their local area …three different sets of friends mention this company to me….none of whom had anything other than positive comments to say about their service. ..so I’ve booked two trips with Kirby’s for when I’m in the UK next spring. Their office staff that I’m communicating with are absolutely excellent …..and their prices are reasonable and mostly all inclusive which is a plus too.
I’ve been on coach tours whilst in England on holiday before, some excellent and some nothing short of pitiful, so I know what I’m looking for in a reputable company.

I arrived home from this cruise with friends on the 3rd of July 2022, with Kirby's. We were all experienced cruisers but were extremely disappointed with this holiday. The general feeling among other holiday makers indicated that we were clearly not alone in our views. I emailed Kirby's shortly after our return, notifying them of our concerns, but have heard nothing at all. 2 weeks ago I resent the email but still silence. A friend who spoke to a member of staff regarding our complaint was told that the message had been sent to the management. Well, where are they and when will they deign to reply? First and last time for me with Kirby's.

After every tour we call the lead passenger for feedback so we can make the necessary improvements and speak with the hotel/suppliers about any issues raised. We did receive your emails and have a 28-day policy where any complaints will be looked into thoroughly and replied to. I apologise you weren't made aware of this after contacting us. We are still in discussion with the supplier/cruise company (since leaving this review you should have now heard from us via post) and we will forward a further letter addressing all aspects of your complaint via post. My friend and have just returned from our first holiday with Kirbys to Sidmouth and enjoyed every minute. The coach was comfortable and air conditioned, our driver Ross was excellent - very professional and he explained clearly to us all about where we were going and what time and where, to return to the coach after stopping at various places. He appeared to have good local knowledge of the area and our ride was smooth and careful, even in some of the narrow Devon lanes.
The hotel was also very good and all the staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was excellent and the menu was varied with lots of choice at dinner. Congratulations to the chef!
One small complaint - we thought that there was a quiz night planned while we were there, but in spite of Ross trying to persuade the hotel to do it, it didn't happen.
We came home feeling happy and refreshed, but we both wished we could have had a couple of extra days away!

We stayed at The Auckland Hotel it was friendly warm, good food, nice room,

Hi went to morcombe to see the Blackpool lights had a good time.felt sorry for driver Paul who did a brilliant job.but I think kirbys could of helped him out by having a feeder coach at Brentwood holiday inn to take home passenger s home on the A13 side between grays and Southend there in back.just a thought yours J.T

J.T. Traveller Why were you so concerned about Paul ? He is a coach driver and gets paid to drive the coach..... if he does not enjoy his job he can always change companies!
