Excellent day visiting this special place. Many memories of Rayleigh too in the Museum from a child. A good place to visit for Raleigh's history past and present.

Considering that there is no charge it is worth a visit. A lot of reading can be done about the history of Rayleigh etc. There is even a lift to take you up to the next floor.

Visited the museum in the evening for a very good talk on the titanic. Very interesting and thought provoking. Looked around the museum in the break, don’t know if it would be worth visiting just because

Really enjoyed our visit to the museum. Very friendly helpful and knowledgable staff. A good display of local material often with relevance to the national situation throughout the times. If you live in Rayleigh or just visiting it's well worth visit.
